The Good and Bad

Good morning friends, I hope you are all doing well.

It's been awhile since I posted and a while since I did any papercrafting.
I've always shared the good and the bad here on my blog whenever possible. It's my life diary and life isn't always perfect. I'm finding it more and more difficult to not only get motivated but to grip and hold on to things. I can't touch anything metallic or anything cold either. Typing takes me forever, hence I haven't been leaving you comments. I had hoped that the progression of my problem would be slower but it's not the case and to add insult to injury I now have a dreadful cold.

On the upside however, I am happy to tell you that my DH is doing fine and back playing golf and I finally have an date to see a consultant neurologist at the specialist hospital in April. Also I  got to speak to my GP who called me in the following morning to access me and prescribed tablets for the nerve pain which are really helping.

Whilst my DH was in the hospital I managed to do some sewing... Sounds bizzare that I can still sew but mostly it's using a machine and not my fingers so much. The number of pins, scissors and all manner of things on the floor are a testament to that and the screams of frustration emanating from my room. So instead of cards I'm sharing a few things made from my fabric scraps.

I made two Easter gifts, this one for Sophia

A bunny backpack with a sweet little cushion inside

And one for DH's little Granddaughter

With a little pom pom bunny

I also made a little cushion gift for a friend who has been such a comfort to me

She's a dog lover and you may just recognise that doggie... It's one I drew and painted on many of my cards... This time I did it on fabric.

I'm glad I can still do something that makes me happy even if it takes forever.

Well that's it for now... I dread to tell you how long this has taken to write.

Thank you once again for the many cards I've received along with your amazing support

Be safe and enjoy your week

Thank You

Hello lovely friends... How are you?

I'm happy to be able to tell you that my husband is home and doing okay. He had a minor heart attack and after a week was transferred to a specialist heart hospital. It was a very stressful and exhausting time but he's on the mend and coping with lots of medication.
As for me, I still haven't heard from the neuro centre regarding an appointment but I do have an appointment for the eye hospital. During the time my DH was in hospital the pressure in my eye continued to increase and the earliest date I can get to see a consultant is mid May. The pains in my arm and hand is still relentless but I am continuing to keep busy, though not much in the way of card making.

However... I do have a card dedicated to all of you who have kept my spirits up with your messages, beautiful cards and well wishes. I don't know where I would be without the strength you have given me...

Still using up my painted bits - The seniment says it perfectly

I can't thank you enough and my wonderful friends here who have continued to support me

Sending hugs to each and every one of you

Update

Hello friends... Just a quick note to apologise for not having been able to visit you all lately

My husband collapsed last week and was taken into hospital and todate he is still there undergoing lots of tests and scans. He is doing fine and may be transferred to a specialist heart hospital. This has happened to him before but now at least they are being thorough.
As you can imagine I haven't had a moment and I'm not feeling too great myself but hopefully once he's home I can settle.

As soon as I get a chance I will visit you all and immerse myself in your creations...
Take care

Welcome March

Good morning friends and welcome to March.
Another step nearer to Spring and hopefully brighter days.

I won't dwell on my health issues but suffice to say that the injection didn't work for me. Instead I have a few cards to share made up from my bits

Things I painted awhile ago and didn't quite know what to do with

Sometimes just watching paint blend is so relaxing

and adding a stamped embossed image can transform it

I'm not one for using DP  much, though I do still love it but i mostly use it to make custom envelopes. However, my final card uses DP and a partial die cut deer that I had left over from something

The papers are called Forest Tales by the Paper tree and they are really lovely. I fussy cut the little guy with the flower from one of the other papers

That's it for now... Thank you again for your warm wishes

Till next time, be well
