Me and Him

Hello friends...

Well some of you may already know that I have made a decision to step down from both the design teams I'm currently on... City Crafter and Double D
Though I will still be on the team at City Crafter for the next 2 weeks, yesterday was my last posting for Double D.
Thanks to all of you who sent me such lovely messages... What can I say? You made me feel so special and loved.

It has been a really REALLY hard decision to make because I LOVE the people I work with... I couldn't have wished for better friends and I'm so grateful for the opportunity Kirsty, Diane and Darlene gave me.  After 7 amazing years it's time I took a break...
I don't have any plans for new ventures... Just more time to enjoy crafting and, well, life really.
I will still be blogging and visiting you all but I don't want to spend as much time on my computer as I have been doing.

Well that's me, now let me introduce you to him...

(Greta are you smiling?) Lol!
This 12 inch tall Schnauzer pup is my second attempt at crocheting and due to lack of time he took a while to make. Now he's finished and keeps me company in my creative space...

The thing is I don't have a name for him so maybe you could give me some ideas?
I got the pattern from Here though he doesn't look much like Jessie's dog even though I did follow the pattern...

Nevertheless we love him and he gets on well with the cats, which is the main thing.

So from me and him have a lovely day

Oh my goodness wow dear Ros, only your second attempt in crocheting and here is such a sweet little bearded puppy, wow! Well done dear! I don't know why, but the name Gilford came into my head. I might even spell it wrong, lol. Anyway. Enjoy your free-from-computer-time, you deserve it very much. I know you'll be missed by many craft buddies for your DT work. Thank you again for the wonderful time we had at CCCB and OBW! Wishing you a beautiful day, hugs xx

I'm happy for you, making this decision, Ros. It's a tough step, but you'll be better for it, I think. That said, I'm selfishly sorry you won't be my DD teamie anymore. We'll still have fun keeping up with each other on the blogs, though. Okay... now... this little guy is so cute I could just have a fit! Seriously, your second attempt? No way! I adore him! You did a beautiful job! He won't get in the way, he'll move whenever you need him to. No dog hair, no sneaking paper scraps out of the wastebasket. Love having my Wally and LuLu come to visit, but they know they're too big for the room. LuLu lays in the hallway just outside the door. I keep a bird on the windowsill, but it's not nearly as cute as your Schnauzer!

Awe....he's a cutie!!! Geesh Ros; you are multi talented.I never would have guessed that this is your second crocheted project? I think it's perfect!
I already sent you a mail and once you're here there will be time to chat. But it will be different when you're not around at CCCB.
Sending a hug and love,
xxx

How talented you are! Is he a schnauzer? Nonni, from Inkspirational, Time Out and LIM, has a schnauzer called Rafa.

I know exactly how you feel about your crafting time Ros. My mojo is not as strong as it used to be and I want to work on other things as well. Do what makes you happy. That little pooch is precious! I love his eyebrows and whiskers. He'll be the best companion for you in your crafty room. Hugs!

What a cute crocheted dog...he will make a great companion for crafting, he makes me smile. Good luck with new ventures, life is good and spending a lot of time on the computer takes away from creative time. Hope you will still visit me. I have stepped back as well, but I enjoy the friends that have stuck with me. I do appreciate all the time you spend blogging...Good luck1

Yes, we certainly will miss you at DD but you can't escape, I know where to find you...lol....enjoy life and do what you want, I am thinking of joining you....I have been 'DTing' too long myself!!

OMG he is SO CUTE ... great job! The only think I know how to crochet is baby blankets, lol! What a sweet addition to your creative room! Well done!!
Yes, we will miss you terribly over on DD but totally understand your decision. I'm sure it was not an easy one to make and sometimes wish I was strong enough to make that same decision.
ENJOY whatever it is you find to fill your days with ... I'm sure it will be fun and relaxing ... good for you!! HUGS

Oh you should have seen my face when I saw your pup! Now you have a bit of me at your place! Absolutely adorable, Ros--a little Fritzy (as I call our guy) for sure! We don't allow such beautiful furnishings--too hard to keep clean, but you won't have that problem--haha! I love the name Mannheim (Manny), but hubby didn't think it was sophisticated enough, so that was our very first Schnauzer's middle name. I'm surprised you're leaving the teams--especially CCCB--you will really be missed! I totally hear you with spending less time on the computer & it'll be great to just create what you want with no deadlines or requirements! I'm actually going to leave the one team I'm on at the end of the year even though it's just monthly. I feel my life whizzing away & life is precious! Big hugs, Greta

Sorry to hear that you are stepping down from the design teams, Ros. I can understand that life can be quite busy at times. I will miss seeing your creations from the design teams, but I'm sure you will continue to create and share. You always have awesome inspiration and a unique artistic style! And, that brings me to comment on your sweet darling dog that you created. It is truly amazing...super cute!!! Take care, hugs!!

Although I am sad to see you leaving City Crafter, but I am happy for you that you might enjoy the other things more, I've been there, so I can totally understand, just look at this cutie, he does looks a bit like Fritz! Have fun with your new craft!

I'm always amazed to see what people can do crocheting wise and your schnauzer pup is no exception, WOW! It's hard to imagine not seeing your creations for the DTs you were on but I can understand that decision completely... so mumch screen time! And also working along "instructions" and not where your fancy takes you. Enjoy!
