Just a card

Hello there...

It's a sunny day here in Liverpool, still cold but it's good to see the sun shining and hints of blossom are appearing on the trees - Maybe Spring hasn't quite forsaken us yet

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my friend Norma's birthday over a week ago

The beautiful stamps are by Uniko - I won them sometime ago and I used one of my favourite ink combinations Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint

Norma is one of the 3 lovely ladies that I meet up with for lunch about once a month - Thing is we haven't seen each other now for almost 6 months due to various circumstances and in that time Ella lost her beautiful puppy, I lost my Aunt and had my sugery, then Joyce lost her husband. We have much to catch up on and hopefully we will soon.

You know it's a known fact that men need to see their friends regularly to maintain their friendships whereas we ladies can go months and just pick up where we left off... I know that to be true as my hubby sees his friends at least twice a week and they are always on the phone to each other... Makes me laugh!

Wishing you all a lovely day ... Stay safe

~ Ros ~

Lovely, lovely card Ros! Your blended background is just perfect for those beautiful embossed flowers, and the tag is the prefect adornment! I'm sure your friend just LOVED this card!! :0)

Beautiful, gorgeous, lovely card, Ros! I sure do love those stamps, and so perfect as a white embossed outline. Any blues and greens together are my favorite. I wonder if there's a bad blue and green combo? It's so true what you say about girlfriends. My girlfriends and I pick right up where we left off no matter how long it's been. And my hubby is on the phone a lot more than I am. The three of you together have had too much heartache and perhaps a girls' day would do you some good.

Really stunning card, Ros! Norma will cherish it! You are so right about ladies and their friendships! You three have definitely had a lot of life happening to you in the last six months! I think an overnight away is in order for the catching up this time! Hugs, Darnell

I really love this card Ros...lovely colours that set off that white embossing perfectly.Your inking is devine..care to give me some lessons...lol. I also am a big fan of Uniko stamps. I am sure your friend will be thrilled with it. I find men can talk twice as much as women when they get together and on the phone!

Beautiful white heat-embossed flower images on the gorgeous ink blending, Ros! Using a vellum tag sentiment is such a great idea! The clear droplets are a nice finishing touch too. I agree with you about the difference between men and women in how to maintain friendship! It holds true at least in my house. :-D Hideko xx

Beautiful card Ros, always love your pretty and soft colors. It's nice to have friends that you can do that with. I have one friend that I see maybe at the most 3 times a year, they come to the lake house with their motorhome same time every year and you would think we see each other all the time, as like you say it's like we see each other often and just pick up where we left off lol!!
