The Other Half

Hi there...
The other half? No, I'm not talking about my husband Lol!
I am referring to the other half of the alcohol ink background I did for my previous card and used for today's card.

The CAS Mix Up Challenge also asks for alcohol Ink lift but it's not necessary to use a stencil

...Confused me a little this month. Anyway, this time I used the Alcohol Lift ink pad. It's the first time I think I've used it too, though I bought it ages ago... One of those things you need and by time it arrives your interest has moved on...

I used a stamp by Woodware but for this card I only used a little strip which I adhered into a dry embossed tag die

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it in silver, added a die cut dragon fly and a few sequins.

The dragon fly is cut from a holographic piece of card but I peeled off the backing to give it a more delicate look and obligingly it curled the tail for me.

I hope you have a great weekend... Friday seems to come around awfully quickly, funny it was never that way when I was a working girl...

Till soon

Gorgeous creation Ros!! Isn't it great when we can get two cards from one background??!! This colour combination is so amazing, it just pops off the card with all that white space. Again, great success with lifting ink to show off your beautiful stamped foliage. Sweet design using a tag. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

Oh Ros...this is absolutely beautiful...love,love,love it! That background technique is fabulous..need to get a pad and add to the list to try. When I get around to trying things they are usually out of date or I have forgotten how to use them.Have a good weekend...just begun to rain here! :( xx

Oh! what a delightful gorgeous card you have here today Ros! I love that you were able to use the 'other half' of your previous background - love when that happens. The dry embossed tag is a nice effect. I have not used my 'alcohol ink pad' yet, but like you say your order then by the time it arrives you really do have other interest and have moved on. But glad you decided to pull it out and use it, because this is beautiful! A great card that can be used for many occasions! Hope you have a great weekend as well!

Ack, I'm so jealous, Ros. Wish you would do a step-by-step and exact products. I'm flummoxed by why I can't get this to work for me. You certainly got it to work magnificently on this other half! I am in love with your tag design and your curly-tailed dragonfly!! Hugs, Darnell

Wow, this is absolutely stunning, Ros! The AI colors are rich. The lifted image is crisp and clear. The tag shape impression, the holographic dragonfly, and the sparkling sequins are all there to highlight the beauty of the AI panel. I love it.
Thank you so much for sharing this card with us at CAS Mix UP!

You're so right--Friday's come fast now & when I was working it seemed like Friday would never get here! Well, I have an unopened lift pad, but maybe now I'll use it as I totally LOVE the results you got, Ros!

This is so gorgeous Ros, I just want to come and sit with you while you work with your backgrounds as they are always so stunning!! Sorry I haven't been around but last month my computer died just before we left for vacation for 8 days...so I have a new one and it's a new learning experience (which really means a BIG headache lol)!!

Okay, now I think I want that lift pad. Gorgeous, Ros, and the dragonfly with its curled tail is perfect!

LOL My lift pad still has the plastic wrap on it. What you said is so true. The way you embossed the tag looks amazing and the shiny dragonfly is a wonderful compliment to the AI colors.

Hi Ros! Just thought I'd pop in for a moment to find an email address, and I can't stop loving every card! One very large WELL DONE to all, but this one [as you said] took my breath away - another of my favorite winged-things living happily in this gorgeous garden you've lifted up for her!
I do not have that ink, but you girls have surely tempted me!
