Feel Better Soon

I'm late posting today... Been for lunch with my GF's and really enjoyed it.
For the first time in a long time I put on my sparkly summer wedges, but after an hour I reverted back to my flat sandals Lol!

I've sent three 'feel better soon' cards in as many days...  In my last post I shared a 50th wedding anniversary card for our friends - We were due to celebrate with them this weekend but unfortunately my friend Marge was rushed into hospital with gall bladder problems and is still there. They have never been apart for any length of time since they were 14 and I feel for them both. I made a quick card for her and hope at least it will cheer her a little

I sketched this first and then loosely painted it...

What I forgot to photograph was the envelope... I made one from DP and painted the same flower on it.
The weather forecast for this weekend is pretty horrid so it's just as well that the party is postponed as it was to be a garden party.
Hopefully my friend will soon feel better and be able to enjoy a belated celebration.

I hope you are having a good week... Take care

Till soon

~ Ros

A beautiful card for your friend and sorry that she has ended up in hospital with gall bladder problems..I know how she feels as I had that a few years back and had the op which took away that ghastly pain. Your hand drawn and painted flowers look fantastic Ros, and finished so prettily with the sequins and sentiment. x

What a pretty card, so delicate, so pretty and so fresh Ros x.
So glad you managed your sparkly shoes, even if only for awhile x.
So sorry for Marge and her DH and for the delayed celebrations too x.

This is sooo gorgeous, Ros- I think stamp companies should be looking to you as a new stamp designer! I love the soft colours you chose and the stitched framing sets it of perfectly.
Sorry to hear about your friend but hope that you get to wear your sparkly shoes again at the rescheduled party.
Take care.
Hugs

I feel so bad for your friends. I remember feeling very sad that we couldn't celebrate our 25th because of Covid... 50 years is incredible! They deserve a medal of honor, right?
Hope she feels better, and the weather will cooperate for the next plan.
Your card is so lovely, Ros - sure to bring her a little cheer, and definitely will let her know you care.

What a beautiful card with the yellow painted flowers, Ros!! It will surely brighten up your friend’s day! I hope she feels better very soon to celebrate their special wedding anniversary! How fun to wear your sparkly shoes! I wore some sparkly sandals to a concert last night with my husband. it was fun to get out and enjoy music once again. But, like you, I felt I needed my flat shoes...just more comfortable!:). Have a great day, hugs!!

I'm partial to yellow and white on anything, but it's especially beautiful on your hand-drawn art. Your painting is lovely in the soft colors. Here's hoping your friend will be back home with her beloved soon.
