Make A Wish

Hello from a bright and frosty morning here in my part of the UK...

It's no secret that I have always loved these flower stamps from Clearly Besotted so when I saw that SSS had the matching die in their sale for 99cents I got in there quick!
The postage to the UK is expensive but it gave me the opportunity to order a few other things I wanted too so it all balanced out.

All the colouring is done with Copics and then I smothered the flowers in Mod Podge dimensional gloss

I made this for a friend of mine who is now in her late 80's and celebrates another birthday in a few days... She's had a few strokes and truthfully, I don't know if she even remembers me that well anymore... Her amazing husband looks after her so well and he's 96!

On another note, I got to go to Thursday Club last night and boy it was busy! They were all thrilled to see me as I was to see them too... I'm exhausted today Lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by - Have a lovely day

Sending Love

Hello....
It's been quite a while since I posted... Just dealing with a few things, my Aunt's estate, hospital appointments as well as a few up and down days...

I spent some time making projects for the Thursday club, though I haven't been able to attend at all this year, and Pat has covered for me, it seems only right that I try and make a few projects to help her along.
Then with my down days caused by a fair amount of pain, inspiration left me.

I did want to try the faux enamel technique using just embossing powders and finally I gave it a go and had fun... Here's a card I made today with feathers cut from one of the pieces I did

I discovered that not all embossing powders work the same and things can get quite messy but I loved the look, especially when the light catches it

Funny how you don't even see the gold from this angle

The love stamp is one of a set sent to me by my dear friend Rebecca and I think it was all that was needed along with a few paint splatters

I hope you are having a good week, sending love

CAS Watercolour Challenge

Good morning...
I have a card I did for The CAS watercolour Challenge to share...

Using smooshed distress inks

And a very old TH stamp. I really like these colours together - Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans

I'm just not sure that it's CAS enough, but you know what it's like with smooshing, you kinda get carried away

It's wet and miserable outside, hubby is off to the match this afternoon and Ginger cat is in favour of curling up on the sofa... Maybe not a bad idea.
Have yourselves a great weekend
Till soon

The Other Half

Hi there...

I've been racking my brains trying to come up with a card for hubby's birthday next week ...
Being as he loves golf and football, the cards he usually gets tend to feature either one of these so I always do something different, and this is definitely different!

I decided to use the other half of the doll stamp that I used in my previous post

And I couldn't leave Ginger cat out could I? Lol!

I just know he will love this card and it's not as boring as a golf card is it

Now if only I had legs as long and slim as that ...sigh

My crafting head is slowly coming together again, the problem is that I can't lift, stretch or bend and in my craft room not at lot is at eye level, but I'm getting there.

Enjoy your day

Hugs

Birthday Girl

Good Morning and welcome to February!

I know I'm a little late, I'm still trying to taking things easy but I get impatient. Some days I feel I've taken one step forward and 2 steps back...
I managed a little crafting with Pat last week and I've done nothing since. Between you and me, hubby took charge of my meds... I wrote out a chart for him so he knew what I had to take and when, but he gave me the wrong tablets a few times and it didn't help I can tell you....

I need a couple of birthday cards this month, one for hubby and one for my SIL but so far I have only done my SIL's card

I used a Julie Nutting Doll stamp gifted to me by my lovely friend Diane a few years ago, coloured her with copics and cut her out... I also stamped her tiara and bow onto glitter card and added them separately

The doll stamps are quite big so I only used part of the stamp and added some ink blending and splatters to the BG. I though a few balloons would be fun, like she was holding them behind her so again I used my inks to blend onto vellum before die cutting the balloons

...And I used a left over piece of the vellum to stamp my sentiment on.
My SIL loves red dresses so I hope she will like this

I hope you are all keeping well, it's still a struggle to sit for any length of time at the computer but I hope to get around to visiting you all soon...

Have a beautiful day
