City Crafter - Happy Birthday Linda!

Good morning ... I can't believe how fast the weeks are flying by ... I am hosting this weeks' new challenge at City Crafters which just as it happens is called "Take Flight" ...
The challenge is to make a card or project that includes anything with wings ... be it an angel, butterfly, bee ... airplane ...  in fact the choice is endless ... so I hope you are all going to join in the fun and as long as you follow the rules you could win a prize too ...

I love this lacey butterfly ... I got it from a shop in the city and I'm not sure who make's it ... I got the lace there too. A mix of papers from my stash, some tulle and a bit of stamping to finish.
Hop on over to see the other DT cards and welcome our GD Zielonookabeti ... her work is just amazing ... I could spend hours just pouring over her blog ....

Card Patterns

Hi there ...
I've not had a lot of time for creating today but  just wanted to pop in with a little card for this weeks' challenge at Card Patterns ... this is the sketch ...

... and this is my card ...

I had this image and paper which I think is Kaban and though I don't think you can see it, I over stamped the background DP with butterflies using SU whisper white ink and sponged the edge of the kraft CS ... The frame I cut with my circle nestabilities and glittered it twice ...  though again I don't think you can see the sparkle .. Both the image and the frame are mounted on foam dots to add some dimension ... I got to use some of my doilies from the swap at City Crafter too ... the sketch was perfect for them.
It's been a glorious day again here ... the sun hardly ever shone during the summer months and now it is fabulous! ... flowers are starting to flourish again just when they should be going to sleep for the winter ... it's quite crazy really but us Brits are enjoying it whilst it lasts ...

Have a great evening/day ... and I'll be back tomorrow for a brand new challenge at City Crafter
Till soon

Birthday Bling

Tomorrow is my friend Ella's birthday and though she has a main present from me ... I like to give little 'extras' as a surprise ... one of the things she needed was a new note book and I love to make or alter note books .... But the one I bought was just too pretty to cover and it was also so very appropriate ... she loves to shop! My best shopping buddy in fact ... and she loves a bit of bling ... So I decided to 'bling' up the note book and this is the result ...

Ok ...  so I should have taken a picture before I altered it ( duh! ) but I guess you can see the added bits ... anything that sparkles, shines and of course the lace, ribbon, buttons and doily (courtesy of Chriss) ....
are all added ... and I decided to carry on the same theme for her card ... well, sort of ...

I am truly loving this stamp set from Crafty Secrets ... and it was available here in the UK! You get a lot of stamps in one set too...
So now I have a lot of wrapping to do before tomorrow ... and before I forget ... take a look at the gift bag ... Shop bought ... well,  for £1 I certainly could not have made it better ...

Till soon

Play Date Cafe Challenge........

Well I really enjoyed my massage this morning ... she even did my feet! Never had that before ...
So I've had a little time to make something for the latest challenge over at the Play Date Cafe ... this is the colour combination for this weeks' challenge ...

... melon instead of red ... lucky for me that I had a PTI ink pad ... berry sorbet ... which is melon in colour .. so I used this to do my stamping ... and made a Christmas card ... even though I can't get into Christmas mode yet ... but I thought the challenge called for it with those pretty colours ....

... and my paper matches ... even if it does look a bit red ....

Before I go I would like to say that my little scarecrow in my previous post was already coloured .... I had a few sweet comments praising my colouring and I couldn't take the credit much as I'd like to ... I will always say if I do the colouring ... which is usually when I paint in photoshop ... but thank you ...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ...
keep safe

Blessings of the season

Happy weekend! ...
I'm just popping in with a little card before I go off for my well deserved back massage ... courtesy of the Church auction ...

Isn't he just the cutest scarecrow? He's a digital image from Hero Arts ... bought at Two Peas ... I just fell in love with him and had to use him ....

I also used my new Fancy Tag Dies from Spellbinders ....

Hope your weekend is fabulous ... must dash ...

Papercraft Star challenge

I finally found time today to make a card for a challenge at Papercraft Star  those sweet ladies have often leave a comment on my blog and I am very appreciative ... It's a sketch challenge ....

... and this is my card ...

I used 4 stamps on this ... my little 'Berry Branches" from Rubber Stamp Tapestry ... A Hero Arts background stamp "Scribbles", "Swallowtail Butterfly" from Inc Stamp Co. and the sentiment stamp is from WaltzingMouse ... Everything else is from my stash ...
I am so used to using my digital papers and stamps that I realise I really need to start using my acrylic and rubber stamps ... And ... all the scrapbook papers I have been keeping like treasures only to be looked at ... Lol!
I hope your day is going well ... we have glorious sunshine again this afternoon ... the nights go quite cold but as long as the sun shines we are all happy ...

Till soon
