Better late than never...

Hello friends...

Well, I thought I had scheduled all the necessary DT posts before I went off on holiday, but it seems I somehow missed the post for

where the prompt was Autumn, so here are a few photos

Autumn in the garden is quite late this year but there are signs

Don't you just love the colours nature gives us?

The tall trees are clinging tightly to their leaves though some have started to change hue... Yellow, red and gold

The berries are in no doubt what time of year it is as they put on a magnificent display

...Like tiny little pumpkins

For the wildlife to feast on

I love this time of year, albeit chilly, the colours that Autumn bring are like lighting the fire for the winter to come....

Link up at Our Beautiful World and head on over to the blog to see what everyone else is sharing

Enjoy your day

Double D Challenges

Hi there...

This is another scheduled post, this time for my DT project at

Where team Diane are hosting with
"Pumpkin Time"

Aren't they gorgeous photos?

Here's my card

Now, I'm not one for praising my own creations but I am particularly pleased with how this one turned out.. Once again I've used a digital image from a colouring page as I don't own any stamps or dies for pumpkins, and I manipulated the image to create this arrangement and then coloured them with Copic Ciaos...

Before I print my finished image, I reduce the opacity right down so there are only the faintest of lines to guide me when colouring and I'm so pleased with my colouring on this... Ok, so it's not perfect and I only have a few Copic Ciaos but it's my best yet...
The leaves and the sentiment were cut on my cameo then I sponged the leaves with distress inks and added Mod Podge dimensional - For the sentiment and the wheat I smooshed Versamark over them and then embossed with copper E/B.

As always both our designers have created some wonderful projects to inspire you this week, go take a peek on the blog and link up your creations.

I hope to be able to catch up with you soon...

Have a great day

City Crafter 332

Hi there ...
I'm due to fly home today so this is another scheduled post...

Stella is hosting our challenge at City Crafter this week and she's picked a photo Inspiration challenge for us

There's quite a bit to go on there, the colours the twine the envelopes...
Here's my take...

I used my paints for the background to capture all the colours in the objects
and seeing the envelopes, I stamped on top with a postal themed stamp

...A little bit of twine on the tag - also picked out from the photo and the deer was added for interest and also to capture the black areas in the photo

We'd love to see what you come up with ... The team have more inspiration on the City Crafter Blog for you and this week our Guest Designer is Agnieszka Kieler ... Click the link to visit her blog, it's well worth a visit, she makes beautiful creations!

Wishing you all a fabulous day

Till soon

City Crafter 331

Hello there...

By time you read this I'll be hopefully arriving at my holiday destination, so this post is scheduled and I won't be able to visit your blogs this week but I will catch up when I'm back...

This week Kirsty is hosting the new challenge at

The challenge is Selfie ... Create a project that includes a selfie or the word Selfie

Here's my project

What? You didn't think I'd share a "me" selfie did you? Lol! These giraffes are so much better looking and enjoying their holiday

The 2 adult giraffes are a digital image from Here and with some work in Photoshop and Printshop, I was able to create a whole family, and add some tree branches

I even coloured the giraffes in Photoshop as I found it too difficult to do by hand and stay within the small lines... I'm in awe of those of you who do that, my blog friend Leslie is an expert!

Our Guest designer this week is Mariken ...Please click the link to go visit her blog and go take a peek at the projects from the rest of our team at City Crafter

My hubby is bringing along his iPad so I'll get to take a peek myself ... I can't wait to see what what everyone comes up with.

Have a beautiful week and be safe ... I'll miss you

Hugs for now

Our Beautiful World

Hi there ... How's your Sunday?

It's time for a new prompt at

This week Mandy has chosen for us and the prompt is
Paint

How I wish I could paint ... Like this

It was actually done by my multi-talented Aunt some years ago...
She only started to paint when she was in her 70's so there's hope for me yet I guess...

I love my watercolours but that card is about the best it gets for me Lol! I'm far better at making a mess

No skill required haha!

There are of course many ways to paint and my Aunt doesn't just use watercolour or acrylics

 She paints with embroidery silks

 my dog Holly...

Go see what my friends are sharing up on the blog and link up with us at

Have a great day

Been Painting

Hello...
My it's turned cold here... Autumn has definitely arrived

I've not had any inclination to make much lately, I spent 2 days doing the Thursday Club stuff and the evening was manic!  I've been itchy to try something different. I'm no artist by any means but today I was doodling, trying to draw a boat and it turned into this

It's not marvelous but just a little something different - it's just done on ordinary (inexpensive) cardstock so I only gave it a light wash of watercolour

I love boats and anything sea related ... What do you think?

Maybe too bland huh?

Then whilst I was looking for something in one of the many cupboards in this house, would you believe I came across a pack of acrylic paints - unopened, never used! Well I had to do something...So after going through a few things on Pinterest I came across 'How to paint a beach' Here.... Well, I deliberated whether to share this 'cos it's my first attempt but what the heck ... here you go

Hee hee, I had fun though, and Hubby thought it was fine

I'll be back tomorrow with my post for Our Beautiful World which incidentally has the word prompt Paint, then I am off for a little holiday early Tuesday morning so I'll catch up with you in a week or so ...

Take care and thanks so much for your visit
