Digital Couture....

A couple of little things to share with you today....

It's been really hot here and I have been out all afternoon shopping. So I needed to just sit and create for a while - I was playing about with my digi stuff ..... and this is what I came up with ... kind of a mish mash hey?

That is actually a black rose on my seam binding but it doesn't show up very well. The lace is from KraftyKirsty's Etsy shop... isn't it lovely... It was a gift for the CCCB challenge win.
Some rubons - 7 Gypsies - and pearls from my own supplies.

The other thing I wanted to share is this....

This is a little market stall shop I found at the weekend........

I just about wanted one of everything!! Gorgeous isn't it?

Have a great weekend everyone.. I have a package to post tomorrow and until it arrives I can't show you - it would spoil the surprise but I guess you could have a sneaky peek...

Till soon......

Peaches and Cream....

Thank you so much for your well wishes and your lovely comments ... I am feeling so much better and grateful to you all.

My dear Sister in law came today with her Granddaughter, my beautiful, adorable and cute as pie Great niece... Sophia... how could that not make my day?
Just take a peek at this cutie....

She is just such a sweet and happy little girl, approaching her 1st birthday and finding her feet...

Sophie was my inspiration today for the new Play Date Cafe Challenge ......And... I got a 'Cream in our coffee" award for my last entry Here.... I am absolutely thrilled. Congratulations to all the winners and Thank you Play Date Cafe!
The inspiration for this weeks challenge is this scrumptious photo.......

See? Peaches and cream?... (well almost)......
This is my Sophia inspired card.............

A cute vintage image with some digital papers, dry embossing with my Sizzix....sparkley lace, a gorgeous bubble embellishment from my stash, a rubon and a glittered 'peaches and cream' rose......

Funnily enough these are not colours that I use much, but they go well together so I am grateful to Play Date Cafe for challenging me... Take a look at the lovely work from their DT.

And just because my card has buttons and an a slightly unusual bow... and I love the CCCB girls - I think I'll also make this a second entry in their fabulous challenge here

Till soon..... keep safe and love to you all

Picture Perfect ....

I came across a colour challenge at Picture Perfect Creations.........

and I had just done a card with the same colours for a friend...

This is lovely Websters Pages (digital) ... and so versitile to fall back on when a quick card needs making. The colours are inspirational in themselves. I did some stamping, added some lace, pearls and buttons and made a dimentional butterfly from the same Websters papers.
So I guess I should enter it...

Till soon

Buttons Bows and Hearts......

Yesterday was the start of the new challenge over at City Crafters Challenge ... Bows and Buttons ... and I always look forward to their challenges......
But I have been sooo sick.... I have no idea what it was that made me so ill but I took to my bed ( not like me at all) ... and paid frequent visits to the bathroom ( too much information I know!).
I am feeling a little better today and have even managed to keep some toast down... so I got to at least make my entry for this challenge and for another of my favourite blogs The Shabby Tea Room "Dear to my heart" challenge ... hearts all the way.

Hearts, buttons and bows.... some Melissa Frances paper, some Amore digital from the fabulous Shabby Princess ....

I feel better now that I have done this.......

A little something else........

A bunch of little notecards with matching envelopes that I made using up some of my scraps...

I used both the positive and negative of the butterfly.... some pretty lace and some flowers and buttons

Finally...
Thank you Kirsty for sending me this award
Hum... I think...
I can do the lies, truth thingy... and I can certainly say a big thank you to Kirsty for thinking of me...

Thank the person who sent it to you

Roses and more roses

Hello ...

I have had a few sweet comments about my little handmade little roses and there is no great secret to making them ... this is the link to the tutorial I used.

These were made from card stock (digitally printed) and can be found on a previous posting Here

As can this  Here....

Card stock and DP are great for making these roses but be careful with vellum as it is not so forgiving and can tear easily but I think it gives a nice effect too.
I sometimes use glue or dimensionals to adhere them to a project - I have even sewn them on... I think Beate of SCS also does a great tutorial showing the use of wire to secure them to your project Here
Another TIP is not to worry too much about the glue - I spray mine with adhesive spray to dip in glitter and the spray will keep your layers together.
I hope this helps you all ....

I have been busy clearing my small crafting room.... Can't believe just how much I hoard!
I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll be back soon with some things to share.

Till soon....

City Crafters Challenge and Play date Cafe......

Hello my friends... I missed you

We had a wonderful time in Majorca and I feel rested and calm - I think everyone has a place to heal ... maybe this is my place ... overlooking the beautiful bay of Palma.
Liverpool today is cold, wet and windy and already I am missing the mediterranean.... But it was good to come home to my beautiful son... I think he missed me... we stayed up late talking.... and it was meaningful... maybe thoughts were troubling him, but we got to hug and I told him how very much I love him - he was and always will be my greatest blessing in life. I hope he will always know that -

I am so grateful to City Crafter Challenge Blog for bestowing a spotlight on my last challenge entry ... and so proud to be able to show my badges - Thank you!

This weeks challenge at CCCB is a 'Recipe' of one ribbon, 2 papers and 3 flowers - this weeks host being Linda - (check out her blog here and see her beautiful cards) and Jane Wetzel is Guest Designer
Her work is incredible -

My card is also for the Play Date Cafe challenge with this inspiring picture and colour palette - please stop by and see the beautiful inspiring work from their design team...

I chose to make a vintage card with my hand made vellum flowers for this challenge....

.....coated in glitter.......

One more thing before I go - I received my gift from KraftyKirsty's Etsy shop.. so lovely! Thank you Kirsty, and I also received a huge pad of Core'dinations card stock following my entry to Caardvarks challenge here ... Thank you to Caardvarks and to Core'dinations I am truly grateful.

Have a lovely day and keep safe...
Till soon
