Chronology

Happy Saturday!
Don't the days just go so fast?
When I had to go out to work the days dragged and the weekends flew... bet it's still the same for lots of you ...

I have a more masculine card to share ... No pink in sight!

This chronology stamp came free with the Do Crafts Creativity magazine and I paired it with the Time stamps from PTI ...
I embossed the stamp with two colours ... black and copper ... not sure if you can see this

To get this effect I stamped the image in Versamark and tore a scrap of paper to mask off part of the image and poured black embossing powder on ... shook it off and then poured copper powder on ... then just heat set ... it gives a really nice effect

All the papers are from my scraps ... there's some MME paper from the Little Black Dress range in there

I hope you enjoy your weekend ... Thanks for stopping by today

Till soon

More Pink ....

Hello ...
How are you?
It's nearly the end of another week ... how quickly the days fly by
Yesterday I was out to lunch with my GF's ... another birthday celebration!
I needed to find a box for her gift and then decorate it ... That led onto a card and well, here we go ... using pink again can you believe it?

That pretty paper is from the En Francais range by Prima available at Here for all my UK friends
and I used some new Washi tape ... the pink striped one bought Here

The stamps are by PTI, that sweet butterfly border is a Memory box die and the flower is from Here

I always save boxes ... they are fun to recycle and decorate when a birthday comes around
The tiny butterflies are the remains from the border die

It's bitterly cold here again ... I could really do with some warmth ... I dread the heating bill when it comes in!

Have yourselves a lovely day and thank you for stopping by

Till soon

Using Green ....

Are you ready for another fun challenge at Papercraft Star?
This week the challenge is
"Green"

Of course with St Patricks day approaching it is a perfectly apt challenge don't you think ...
I didn't go with the St Patricks theme though ... I was too anxious to use my 'Time' stamp set from PTI and this is the result

It's a really simple card ... once again using some scrap paper and just stamping straight on to it

... and I love that sentiment ... It is so true ... especially where loved ones are concerned ...

I love the colour green ... some say "green for grief" I was also told once that God created so much green on this earth because it's restful ...
So are you going to go green with us this week?

On a rather sad note ... this week we will be saying goodbye to my friend and colleague at Papercraft Star, Sylvia ... She will be a hard act to follow with her talent ...
Sylvia I wish you every happiness and look forward to seeing more of your creations in the near future

I Love Paris ...

Good morning ...
My, it's cold here ... Spring seems to dip her toes in and then run off again!  But for the daffodils and primroses I could be forgiven for thinking that Spring was even on the horizon ...
At least I can create my own Spring with paper and card ...

I am hosting the new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog this week and I am challenging you to come up with a card or project
"Inspired by a Song"and tell us what your song is
If you are like me a song often pops into your head when creating ... you know like "Tie a yellow ribbon" when using yellow ribbon ... Lionel Richie's "Hello" when using my PTI die ... and so on ... Well it's easy to guess what I was humming when I made this ...

I Love Paris (in the Springtime)

Note I actually used blue card stock instead of my usual white (Gasp!)
The background paper is a digital I've had for the longest time and I added the words "I Love" to the text that is already on the paper

Flowers and butterflies in cheerful Spring colours ...

I am really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with ... and our winner will get a Guest Design spot here with us at City Crafter ... Just link up your creation and don't forget to tell us what song inspired you ...

I'm off to see what the rest of the lovely team has created this week ...

Have a beautiful day

Using the Negative

Hi!
How are you?

I have a fun little card for the JUGS challenge which is to use a negative die cut

Moxie Fab World also has a challenge to use a negative die cut and I already entered This card but couldn't resist doing another ... more fun card

... using the lovely PTI 'hello' die
I cut out the 'U' and the question mark using my cameo and computer generated the text somehow managing to line it up ... I backed the kraft coloured card with a piece of black paper and a small scrap of grey Core'dinations paper

The little mouse which I coloured with Promarkers is part of a digital by Tiffany Doodles ... this is the limit of my colouring skills I'm afraid ... (Keren take note)
Her little tail is just a piece of thin paper which I curled

I just think she's cute!

So how was your weekend? I had a lovely Mother's Day ... Mikey gave me these flowers

... and this sweet little card

... and do you remember my Valentine's flowers? Well I have to show you a photo taken today ... almost 4 weeks later

Still perfect! A testament to my green fingers? No ... more a testament to how very cold it is in my conservatory!

Before I go I want to just say a Happy Birthday to my beautiful Aunt ... 86 today!
Love you!

I'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge at CCCB ...
Have a lovely day

Going To Seed .....

No ... not me ... (well, maybe a little) ...
No, Going to Seed is the name of a new stamp I bought - made by by Woodware and seeing as it's a cold wet dull day here and DH has gone to see his beloved football team play in a cup match ... Well what's a girl to do but play with paper?

I love this stamp ... and probably you can't see it ... but I embossed this so it has a lovely shine

It really speaks for itself ... not much embellishment needed and those you see are from some old 3D stickers that I cut up and just used some little bits

I've been listening to the football match whilst working ... I know by the score what mood to expect my husband in when he gets home ... Alas his team are losing ... BADLY!!
Still tomorrow here is Mother's Day ... hopefully he will put on a smile just for me ...

To all of my sweet friends who are celebrating Mother's Day tomorrow ... Happy Day!

I wish you all a beautiful weekend
