City Crafter 184

Hi there ...
Lovely to have you visiting me today for the new challenge at
City Crafter

Kirsty has picked a Photo Challenge for us this week

Fortunately for me ... I love working with these colours and they also happened to be the colours of my Stepson's wedding ... The one we missed as my DH was in hospital ...
So of course I made a wedding card ... knowing that the 'Bride To Be' loves shabby chic / vintage

... and of course my card needed a box

Apologies for the dark photos ... It's so dull here

The paper is really sparkly but I don't think you can see that either

November ....

Hello and welcome to a wet and cold day here in Liverpool

Today's prompt at
Our Beautiful World is November

November in the UK signifies Guy Fawkes ... Fireworks and bonfires that are never confined to just the 5th November but last for weeks ... I'm not a fan ... I fear for the wildlife ...
It also signifies Remembrance Day ... when we wear a red poppy to remember our heros of war

Here in my little corner of the world it is another change in nature ...

I couldn't help but be a little whimsical with this ... The Vacant sign doesn't really hang on there ... I added it digitally ...
I took a sign from the internet and removed the background - you can check out my video on Our Beautiful World blog to see how I do this - then using Print Shop ... I added it to the photo ...
Nesting is over ... Many birds have flown away to warmer climates ... but soon the Robins will be back and their little red breasts a welcome delight.

Though we have occasional bursts of sunshine, our mornings are often dull with rain clouds

and this is a common sight ...

... rain pounding on the windows
It does help the winter pansies

But even Gispy won't chance it and finds herself a cosy bed

And hey ... if your owner isn't home ... well, there's always a shelter at Gipsy's house

No idea who this guy belongs too! I suspect his owners are out a lot because he visits us often ...

So what is your November like? We'd love you to share it with us at
check out what my friends have posted on the blog Here ...

Have a lovely Sunday

Till soon

Happy November

Hello!
Happy November to you! I hope your Halloween evening went well and you all had fun ... It went well for me ... My DH came home!
I went into the hospital yesterday afternoon and the doctor said he could finally come home ...
Thankfully the MRI scan showed no problems and the Neurologist was happy to release him ... He is still on medication and they think that the problem lies with his ears so an appointment has been made for him to have a more thorough investigation at the ENT department.
I can't tell you how relieved we are ... It's been a tough time ... and we are both immensely grateful for your support ...

My sweet neighbour unfortunately lost her FIL this past week which was very sad ...
I found the time to make her a little card ...

This is not one of my best ... I just haven't been able to concentrate on creating lately ... Thankfully I make my DT projects in advance

Maybe my mojo will return soon ... until then I'll be content will visiting you all and drinking in your beautiful creations ...

I hope November brings you all much joy

Thanks for stopping by

I Love Postal

Hello!

Today is our last photo inspiration challenge at Papercraft Star until December
We are taking a little break ...
Our photo this week is right up my street ... I Love all things Postal!

... and isn't this just so inspiring?

That said ... I wasn't sure what to make for this challenge ... Sometimes I just want to do something a little different from a card ...

I had an old wooden photo frame that was calling to me ... and I took it from there

(You get to see another table I rescued and restored here too)

I covered the frame in different papers some of which I stamped ... I'm sure you recognise my all time favourite postal stamp there

Yes, I even got onto the chalkboard band wagon by painting a piece of canvas with chalkboard paint and inserting it into my frame ...
Some handmade flowers using text paper nestle with a couple of bought flowers

Trinkets, buttons and lace ... Yes I went to town with this and loved every minute

I like how it looks on my table too

I can't wait to see the entries this week ... I hope you will join us ... don't forget to visit the blog to see what beauties my fellow DT have in store for you too

Thanks so much for stopping by ...

Hugs

PTI Make It Monday

Hello!

It's so nice to be back with you today ... With all that's been going on here I've missed the quiet life of blogging ...
I'm hoping for some good news soon regarding my DH ... He has had his MRI scan (no results yet but fingers crossed for a good result) and he also needs to see an ear specialist as he is being treated for Labyrinthitis... Since a child he has been completely deaf in one ear and the other ear has deteriorated badly ... It makes life difficult for both of us ...  But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can come home soon ...

Thank you all for your support, your prayers and kind words ... I can't begin to tell you how much it means to both of us ...

It's been difficult getting back into creating and this week's Make it Monday at PTI by Betsy Veldman was just what I needed to get going ...
It's a technique that I've wanted to try since I saw it up on the Jugs challenge a week or so ago ... I just didn't get the chance till today
The technique is Inlaid Die Cuts ... hop over to PTI and check it out ...
I think this may be my first Make It Monday entry ever!

I used the clouds die, the Butterfly die and the 'hello' die - all from PTI

The clouds and Butterfly were stamped using the Bitty Blocks background  from PTI

The 'hello' was cut from a piece of PTI paper from the Everyday Blessing pad ... It's an old set and I've been holding on to every scrap of this!

Before assembling I stamped some images from the Life stamp set using Classic Kraft and Ocean Tides ink ...
I really love this technique and it feels good to have created something today ...
It's very dull here so I apologies if my photos aren't the best ...

Thanks so much for stopping by ...

Hugs to you all
