City Crafter 334

Hello ... Happy Tuesday!

Time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week Kirsty has given us a sketch challenge

I flipped the sketch and came up with this

I cut strips of watercolour paper that I'd painted some time ago - It's very shimmery and you can perhaps see that in this next photo

A white die cut flower and a gold embossed sentiment finished it off

Our Guest Designer this week is the winner of week 327, Shani - Click the link to visit her lovely blog and hop on over to CCCB to see what Shani created for us along with the projects from the rest of our team..

We have the decorators in this week and it's a bit manic here... Thankfully I'm off to lunch with my girlfriends so I can escape for a while!

Thanks so much for your visit, have a great day

A New Baby and a Black Cat

Good morning...

How was your weekend?
DH gained a long awaited for granddaughter "Felicity Lucy"
We don't have any photos yet - His eldest son and DIL live in Derbyshire and they have been trying for a baby for many years ... Felicity was their 5th and final IVF attempt...

"Mum to be" went in to the hospital on Thursday morning and the baby wasn't born until 2pm on Saturday! Though it was a normal delivery, the baby was so big (10lbs) that poor mum ended up in the O.R. for 2 hours and lost 4 pints of blood.  I'm sure you can imagine what our weekend has been like...
Mum is still in the HDU but recovering well and baby is doing fine.

I managed to steal a few hours in my craft room and did a rough sketch with a fine liner on ordinary CS and did some watercolouring

My friend is sick and this is for her ... She is also a cat lover and it was her house that Missy turned up at, after trying to find her owners without success, she kept her but Missy didn't get along with her own cats hence we took her.
So I attempted to draw a cat like Missy looking out of a window

It's not perfect but I know my friend will love it

Have yourselves a great day ... I'll be back tomorrow

Holiday

Good morning!

The prompt over at

This week is Holiday...

Wherever there is a beach and the open sea,  that's my choice of holiday...
It never ceases to amaze me that I can get onto a plane and within just over 2 hours I am in another country...

It takes me as 4 hours by train just to get to my Aunt in Lincoln!

I recently returned from a holiday with my DH where this was our front door for the week

The early morning sunrise rose to the left of our balcony

...And to the right the relaxation beckoned

Days spent walking, talking, swimming and enjoying the warm summer like evenings, albeit October

The evenings were mellow watching glorious sunsets across the sea

That slowly sank into the distance

Yep, that's a holiday...

Go visit the blog to see what everyone else is sharing this week...

Have a beautiful day

Easy Autumn Projects

Hi there...

I'm feeling much better today thankfully... I'm waiting on the results of x-rays and I have blood test to go for but fingers crossed all will be well. The main thing is I'm feeling better and I'm back into crafting...
Last night was club night and I haven't seen my group for a few weeks so I prepared 3 simple Autumn projects for them... Heck the room was heaving.. I kid you not!
Thankfully Pat was with me and she'd also brought a friend who is visiting and we did have a good number of support workers too...

So first up we created some simple framed pictures

I printed and stamped some BG paper and cut out the shapes for them and let them embellish with gems stones

Then we did some cards

I bought a whole heap of silk leaves (100) for £2.30 on Ebay, so much easier that me having to do them and I cut out more leaves for the ears, circles for the google eyes and also a nose and computer generated a sentiment.

Lastly with the off -cut from the cards we made bookmarks

I really wish you could see their faces when they've made their projects... All the hours put in is so worth it - Well, I keep telling my aching back that Lol!

Wishing you all a good day ...

Till soon

City Crafter 333

Hello... How are you all?

On top of my cold I somehow managed to get the stomach flu too - I'm taking my own advice for once and resting a much as possible and hoping that things improve soon.

So, today we have a new challenge at City Crafter, chosen for us by Marina
The theme is "Did I Make You Up"

Marina is asking that we create a project that features something that may not exist...e.g. A Mythical creature or a hidden element

I decided to go with a little fairy
Here's my card

I did a watercolour BG and added specks of gold for my fairy sitting under the tree

She was cut on my Cameo along with the tree frame and  I added a computer generated sentiment

Our Guest Designer this week is Gerdine winner of our challenge for week 326... Click the link to go visit her blog.

As always the team have more inspiration for you up on the City Crafter Blog

Have yourselves a beautiful day
