Sparkle

Hello..

There's a Sparkle challenge this week over at AAA Cards

I have quite a few sparkly cards still waiting to be shared but I thought I'd enter this one as it's more CAS

It's not easy to capture sparkle in a photograph but the gold splatters, the embossing and that glittery deer do sparkle

I used up a scrap of my ink blended and embossed card too

We've had freezing weather here but today it's pouring with rain. DH is in hospital having surgery and I'm waiting patiently to hear how things go.
You know I gave up reading newspapers years ago... I would get so depressed reading all the awful things that are going on in the world. I still continued to look at the headline news on my computer, really to keep in tow with things, but lately I find it harder and harder to let things go - I cannot believe what some people are capable of doing to others.
So I thank goodness for our creative community... Where we can share the things we make and escape to a better world...

Wishing you all a beautiful day

~ Ros ~

I'm sure by now you've gotten word that hubby's surgery went fine & in fact, he's probably home with you. Wishing him a speedy recovery--don't forget the precautions! Your card is so beautiful, dear Ros--I adore the golden glittery deer & think that's what I'll do next with mine! Perfect design with the strip of beautiful blended/stamped paper & I can't get enough of splatters! Love & hugs from your sister, Greta

Hi Ros. love your sparkly cards...but then I love all your cards! You are so very artistic and everything is classy! dark, dismal and wet here today...not the type of weather that spurs you on! Do hope all goes well for hubby. Take care xx

I love this design, and you inspire me with your inky backgrounds. I'd probably spend more time trying to choose a piece of designer paper than it would take to make an inky background, sigh... Someday I'll get with it. I surely do understand about the news. I have certain news programs I watch in the evenings, but I've been avoiding them lately. Frankly, I'm embarrassed about some of the things happening here. I escape to our Golden Retriever bubble, and the crafting bubble is a pretty nice place, too. I know you'll keep us posted about your DH. Wishing for the best possible outcome!

Your deer sparkly card is simply beautiful, Ros! I agree, so thankful for the crafting community, which brings smiles to my face! Hope your husband does well recuperating! Take care, hugs!

Beautiful glitter and sparkle on your splatters, heat embossed sentiment and die cut dear. I so agree with the crazy world we live in now. Our global stamping community is full of sharing, creativity and love. That is what is worthwhile anymore.
We stopped watching TV news almost 50 years ago. We would read what we wanted in the newspaper and the last few years do online news. The best part...by choice, not seeing or hearing the daily horrible news.

TFS your beauty my friend. It made my day. Hugs and Happy Holidays.

Another beautiful deer card, Ros! Your eyes go right to the sparkly deer and the sentiment banner and then move to the gold spatters. Very nice flow.
I hope your DH's surgery went well. Hideko xx

Stunning! card!
I know what you mean by now watching the news, Randy is the same way, but for me, I really want to know what's going on, especially the place I live, that way, I can be more cautious and careful, but that is just me!

I saw this card at AAA and came in for a closer look-- love it! I'm such a fan of inky CAS cards! I also want to comment on your closing remarks: I, too reduced my news intake. I do read BBC news every day to keep up (I do think its important, and I do enjoy it...), but I also know that I have to limit it, otherwise I get so sad and upset. Cheers, and here's to GOOD NEWS in 2018!
