Hey there... How are you?
It's a beautiful day here, looking more like Spring and I'm loving it. There's a ton of buds on the lilac tree and I can't wait for it to flower.
Thank you for your kind wishes regarding my brother, he had his operation yesterday and is doing fine.
Today I have a couple of simple stamped and painted Easter cards
Okay, all you stampers (and gardeners) will no doubt notice that the large flower is in fact a poinsettia...
But with another flower (one of my hand drawn ones) on top, I know the recipients won't really notice.
The actual stamp is by Woodware and this is how it looks in it's entirety
They are painted with blue watercolour and black soot distress ink
I love the combination of blue and grey...
Thanks so much for looking in on me, have a lovely day and take care
Till soon

I wouldn't have noticed that the bottom layer was a Poinsettia if you hadn't said anything Ros, and besides which, when we're doing the creating it's called "artistic license"!! And they both look absolutely beautiful in those lovely shades of blue!! And my lilac bush is budding too and I'm a little worried it's too early...last year I only had a handful of blooms because it had warmed up too early and then turned COLD again! Crazy weather the last few years!! Hugs. :0)
So good to hear your brother is doing fine after surgery. I wish for a speedy recovery for him! Your Easter cards are beautiful Ros. I too love the grey and blue together, very elegant. Love your added hand drawn flowers you added to the centers. so, so pretty! Weather has been beautiful here too, buds on the trees, my
Allium flowers are up about 6 inches, as are my chives. It's been sunny since Saturday, rain late tonight and into tomorrow, but weekend looks to be nice. Enjoy your weekend Ros, keep well. Hugs,
Beautiful flowers for these Easter cards Ros and I love both the pink and blue and so clever to add your hand drawn ones on to of the Woodware Poinsettia stamped ones which looks great. x
what a great way to stretch those Christmas stamps :) love the flower in that soft blue :)
Just GORGEOUS my friend! The way you have layered these flowers, I would have never guessed it was originally a poinsettia! SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Glad your brothers health is looking up! Enjoy your spring ... I know I've enjoyed the warm springy days we've had over this past week ... even though the temp are to drop and we will have the possibility of snow through April. My daffodils are all in bloom and truly make me smile every time I look out the door! Folks in the neighborhood who walk by comment how much they too are enjoying them. Have a wonderful weekend ahead! CYBER HUGS
I love these shades of blue and gray too, Ros! How clever to use that poinsettia stamp and the smaller one to make a totally different flower!
Bravo, Ros! I would never have known you played around with Mother Nature if you hadn't told us. Really wonderful, beautifully fussy cut!
Good news about your brother - hope he is being a good patient, and resting comfortably.

Beautiful soothing blue and grey flowers and leaves, Ros. Love how you fussy cut part of your flowers for your CAS design. TFS how you brother is doing too. So happy he is doing well. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Nope wouldn't have guessed it was a poinsettia stamp Ros.. Your cards are absolutely beautiful and so very pretty x. The colour combination is fabulous and the recipients of these beauties will be thrilled with them x. I am so glad that your brother is doing well Ros.....All good our end x.
These cards make a huge impression !! I admire your creativity, the combination of different flowers gave such an amazing effect. I think that this stamp by Woodware is not a Bethlehem star, but a clematis. These beautiful hairy pistils in the middle of the flowers speak for it. But I don't have to be right :-)
Many thanks for sharing these beautiful cards!
xx
How lovely are your flower cards in pink and blue! I did not realize that they are poinsettias until you said they are. And, so clever of you to layer them and use them in such a beautiful way! Happy to hear that your brother is doing well and prayers that he continues to do so on a quick road to recovery!
These are beautiful, so soft and pretty, I never would of known they were poinsettias, how cleverly AND beautifully disguised! Glad to hear your brother is doing well! Thank you so much for my beautiful card I received, I will treasure it and keep it always!!
Your poinsettia stamp is gorgeous. Using it for Easter cards is so creative. I love how you've added a layered flower in the center of both your cards. The colours are peaceful and serene. Beautifully done, Ros! xx
All three cards are gorgeous, Ros! What a wonderful way to use a poinsettia stamp! I would have never thought of layering another flower on top. The colors and the way you watercolor are so beautiful! So glad that your brother is doing well after the operation.
Hideko xx
Almost missed these beauties Ros...my fed seems to be pleasing itself lately and I am not being fed as it were! Who cares if its a poinsettia, they are all beautiful...you are so clever. xx
I actually wouldn't have known that was a poinsettia, but it is so gorgeous I'm glad you used it for Easter, Ros! Love the blue & gray--wouldn't have thought to use black soot for it. So glad to hear your brother is doing well. My lilac has greenery, but can't tell yet if I'm going to have many blooms--hope so! It's been gorgeous weather here, but hopefully some clouds tomorrow so I can prune roses in the shade.
Exquisite, Ros! Beautiful stamp and such a soft, lovely blue. I did not notice it was a poinsettia. Pretty watercoloring, and your own hand-drawn flower is the perfect addition! I'm a bit behind, but happy to know your brother is doing fine after his operation.
Beautifully done and so creative!!! TFS!
Paper Hugs,
Jan
Now that you're saying it... I wouldn't have recognized the poinsettia - maybe I'm so set in my ways that they will red, red, red! Love the soft colors, wonderful Easter greetings!
