One for the boys!

It's Tuesday again and my turn to host the challenge at City Crafter Challenge ... and just how lucky am I to have none other than Beatriz Jennings of Iralamija as guest designer? ... She is just so brilliant and I adore her creations ... I'm sure you will too ... go take a peek ..
We at City Crafter Challenge love to see all your beautiful entries but voting is never an easy thing ... So this week I have set a challenge using a gorgeous photo from A Creative Mint courtesy of Leslie ... (if you have never visited her site you really ought to ... such inspiring pictures that make you oooh and ahhh!) ... The challenge is to use the colours from the photograph to make a masculine card or project ... Yep, One for the boys!

I made this with my Son in mind ... As you know he likes to travel and his second home is the west coast of America ... though fortunately for me he has been home with me most of this year, which I love ...
But each time he goes ... he takes my heart with him...

.. a little pocket card with tiny postcards tucked into it. The first time he left to travel Europe he sent me postcards from just about everywhere ... and I needed somewhere to keep them as they are treasures that a Mom keeps right?... Like every school report, merit card, painted picture etc., and yes I have them all including the many letters he would write to me when he was a little boy ... most days he would give me a letter at the end of the day thanking me for all I do and telling me how much he loves me ... (sigh)
back to my project ...

So I made a box to store all my cards ... there's still room to add some more ...

actually it is 2 boxes ... the top being slightly wider and shorter so that it slips neatly over the box holding the postcards. Virtually all digital papers used here as is the suitcase stamp which I paper pieced. Mini postcards, chipboard, and button from my stash as is the little heart. I stamped the heart as well as the box with a postmark stamp ... not sure where I got this sorry.

Now it's your turn ... and one little thing that I didn't mention is that the prize this week is one of my plaques ... I had an overwhelming response when I showed my first one Here ... so I made another but added even more ...

You like???
Look forward to seeing your fabulous creations this week ...

Keep safe

Ros
