Dreams ...

Good Morning!

It's a lovely sunny morning here again and really I can't complain about our summer ... It hasn't been scorching hot and it hasn't rained everyday ... so for me that's just fine!
As I sit to write this ... my Mum's favourite song has come on the radio ... Would you believe "Boyzone" ... "No Matter What " ...
It was played at her funeral and I know the words are very significant to us as a family ...
I am a prolific dreamer ... I can remember my dreams too ... sometimes they are not good ... But hearing this song ... well last night I dreamed about my Mum and my Dad ... the whys and wherefores would mean nothing to you ... but the overall point was that I got to hug my Dad and tell him that we love him very very much and asked him to promise to be the father we needed ... to 'stay' with us ... It was something that needed to be said and IRL we never got the chance to ... my Dad was full of remorse and my brother ... who is going through such an ordeal right now ... he was there with me ... and thanked me for speaking to our Dad ... I feel like it was significant ... like somewhere my Mum and Dad are there for us and this morning I am feeling very comforted ...

I just have a couple of things to share ... a card I made for a gentlemen I know who celebrated his 90th Birthday recently ... I swear he doesn't look a day over 75 and I was shocked to find out how old he is ... For many years he kept pigeons ... I know he misses them dearly ... so I used my Tim Holtz die for this

I used some distress inks on this birdie too ...

And I also thought I'd show you some of the Dangly things I have done for my mini notepads ... I'm no jewellery maker ... that's for sure ... but I like to try ...

Well I guess I have to start somewhere huh?

So that's it for today ... I'm going to leave you for now and hope you have a wonderful day
Till soon

I too remember most of my dreams. I think you had that dream for a reason and what an amazing dream it was.

Your card is perfect for that friend of yours. He is sure to love it just as much as I love those little charms you made. They are absolutely beautiful. :)

Beautiful story, Ros! Isn't it a relief when a dream is actually comforting? Glad you are enjoying the last days of summer as well. Your card is lovely as always and your jewelry bits are fabulous and will go on notebooks very nicely. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Glad you found comfort today!
Love the card for that gentleman, that colors are just so soothing. Those dandling thing are as cute, my sisters do beadings, it was tempting but I know I should not, once I started, I need to have everything, that is no good! LOL!

Oh Ros, it is true that it's very comforting to dream of your parents, it really means that they're still there to protect you and to advise you if needed. I've had similar experiences and always felt so comforted after such a precious dream. I'm truly happy for you! The card you made is gorgeous, as is the jewelry, you'll start up a Ros Bijoux line as yet ;-)

My parents are both gone, but I dream about them frequently. Last night (or was it early this morning?) I had a wild dream; I guess I should have written it down, because now it is gone. Glad you were able to "talk" to your Dad and wake up feeling like you had a very successful 'trip'.

My friend, Linda, has a Mom who has just celebrated her 102nd birthday! I have been attending her parties since the 100th! Grace loves birds and this year I made her one of the folded birdhouses like the one you embellished with the butterflies. They had no idea what it was until after I received the thank you and she described the gift as "amazing"! I called and asked if she knew what it was; and then told her.

Your friend probably really was thrilled for your bird gift!
