Relaxing? No chance

Hello there!
I should have known when I wrote on my last post that I was looking foward to a relaxing weekend ... that things would change ...
We had to go into Manchester on Saturday ... and yesterday I had visitors all day and in the evening ...  I even missed WCMD!

This morning I got together with my lovely talented blog friend Keren ... It was so lovely to catch up and especially to hear how her new job went ... She's demonstrating her creative talent at Abakhan here in Liverpool!

Time goes so fast when you are enjoying company ... and the time flew by as we chatted ... so now I have a lot of catching up to do ... But I managed to make a card for my friend Ella who has her birthday this week ... The 'girls' are catching up for lunch tomorrow to celebrate

I used some lovely paper from Astrid ... You all know I love them!
and I don't think she will mind ... but this particular paper had Happy Valentine's on ... so I altered it slightly to take that out

Of course I used my 'go to' stamps from WaltzingMouse and a border edge cut on my Cameo
A little lace from the Ribbon Girl ...

Some scrap papers from Prima ... and a few embellies from my supplies ... probably the quickest card I ever made! (shows what a visit from a friend can do)

I need to make a gift box now ... I'll share with you later in the week ...

Have a lovely day and thank you for stopping by ...
I'll be back tomorrow for the new challenge at City Crafter
Till soon

Completely gorgeous! I DO love that paper. Glad to be such a help even if it meant that inspired was forced out due to time constraints. Thanks for the tutorial and advice and being so lovely! xx

I totally get that, Ros! It was the same for us! The minute you get a chance to relax, somebody goes and fills up that time slot for you ;). Well, I hope it didn't set you too far behind. Your card is just scrumptious! Gosh, I love the soft pinks and blues!

How lovely to hear you had such a pleasant weekend Ros, it's usually like that, things can change all of a sudden, but it sounded like a nice change! Your card for your friend is supersweet, very elegant and lovely with the pretty bird on it. Hugs, Ira

Just popped over from Keren's blog. Love the little bird in the corner, a card with a vintage feel.
