All I want for Christmas

Hi there!
Have you heard the saying "No good deed goes unpunished"
Well, it seems to be the case for me ... Having only been home a few days after caring for my Aunt ... I am down with the flu! And I have an ulcerated throat which is so very painful ..
I have spent the last few days in my bed with a temperature and feeling very rough ...
I think I managed to get everything done for Christmas though ... presents are all done and delivered to various homes ... So all I want for Christmas is to be well

I have some more happy mail to share with you

These handmade gifts came from my lovely blog friend Keren who called in to see me a few days ago ... Raspberry and orange curd... Delicious! ... Christmas must be such fun in her home ... 5 children of various ages ... what could be better!
Thanks so much Keren

And this arrived from my sweet friend Lauren

How I loved that suzy snowflake card when Lauren posted it for Jingle Belles challenge! I can't believe I own it! And whilst I am looking forward to opening this gift ... I'm not sure I can bear to break into that lovely wrapping ... another peek at suzy snowflake

Thank You Lauren!

Ok if I am going to be allowed downstairs for Christmas I need to get my rest ... so I'll keep this short ... but one other thing I want to show you are these shoes

They are paper weights! A gift that was given to my Aunt last week ... They are about 5'' in size and just so very cute!

I promise I will try and get to visit you all soon ...

Have a beautiful day

~ Ros ~

Well bummer you have to feel so lousy..no fun at all!! Now I have to tell you something funny, we live in the country, and every once in awhile a little country mouse comes to visit...ugh...I am a freak about mice...so anyhow with 3 kitties in the house, it was a matter of time before one had it, only to let it loose in my computer room...the next day, she had it again, only to get loose and run in the bathroom, so I slammed the door and ran and got the hubs, and he got his shop vac, scooped it up, and took it out and let it go...but you know the sound a cat makes with its mouth full of "mouse"...your little kittie blinkie had me high tailing it out of my chair when it "meowed", as it sounded just like Tessie with her mouse, took me a few minutes to realize it was a computer meow and not the real thing...lol...hope this cheers you up!!

Well, I'm glad to hear you're home and your Aunt is well enough to be left alone but so sorry to hear you're not well. I hope you make a speedy recovery and are well enough to enjoy your Christmas festivities.

The cards and packages you've received are beautiful and I love the shoes paperweights.

Merry Christmas, Ros and best wishes for 2013. xx

Oh poor you... Really hope these nasty bugs will leave you alone and that you're able to celebrate Christmas as you deserve. Lovely gifts and cards from your friends, which I know you will enjoy. Despite your flu I'm still going to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas. Hugs, Ira x

Hope you get better soonest and then enjoy the festivities. My daughter was going abroad for Christmas, then she got similar symptoms to the ones you describe. She now is staying in the uk and coming to me for Christmas....how lucky is that, for me at least. Take care xxxxx
