Papercraft Star Beauty

Hi there ...
I hope you are all well ...
Can I just say how very sorry I am to hear about the devastation in Oklahoma ... my thoughts are with all of you who have been affected ... I cannot imagine what you are going through. I know we Brits have a 'thing' about the weather ... mostly we complain that it's cold, wet and dull ... but in lots of ways we have to be thankful when we see what mother nature can do.

Today at Papercraft Star Deanne has chosen our challenge ...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
"What do you find beautiful"

I have to say that I skipped around this challenge ... I just kept putting it off ... After all everyday that I visit your blogs I see beauty ... whenever I go over to Pinterest I see beauty ... I started to panic thinking that I am not going to get this challenge done ... But as always .. it finally fell into place

And using a shadow box frame, sponging and stamps and some bits and bobs ... this is my 'beauty'
I find beauty in the unconditional love between a mother and child which I am blessed to have ...
In being at one with nature ... feeling the warmth of the sun ... listening to the sea as it laps upon the shore ... hearing the gulls cry ... marvelling at the wonder of our planet and enjoying the little things that money cannot buy

I love the beautiful memories I have of my son being a child ... His little hand in mine ... And most of all, beauty for me is in peace ... I think my picture reflects this

I used colours that to me are tranquil and a silhouette stamp from my free set from Creative Stamping magazine together with a lovely verse stamp from Inkylicious

Of all the things I've made I have to say that this gives me the most pleasure every time I look at it
It evokes so much to me ...
Thank you Deanne for pushing me to do this!

So what do you find beautiful? We at Papercraft Star would love to know ...
Please come and join us and don't forget to take a look at the projects from the other designers on the Blog ...

Till soon my friends

I absolutely love this, Ros. Your soft gentle scene, along with those words is so beautiful.

Reading your own words touched my heart. I know what you mean. Like you, we only have our son, and I too cherish those wonderful memories you never forget xx

Oh Ros, you have captured the peaceful feel of the seashore. The teals and white are so beautiful against each other and the silhouette image and sentiment couldn't be more perfect to carry out the theme. Hope you've got a special place to hang this. Hugs!

What a beautiful framed piece, Ros, I love the shells and of course the blue. Sorry to see London in the new with the killing of a soldier in the streets. thanks for your prayers for Oklahoma! Our tornado season is just beginning and they say the hurricane season starts next week. However, I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

holy ♥WOW♥!!! you have made some astonishingly lovely things in the time i have known you, but (appropriately, given the challenge, lol!) i honestly don't believe you've ever done anything more *BEAUTIFUL* than this! and again i say, "WOW!!!!!" (ps: i was totally shocked to hear you say you felt stumped and then panicked... this looks so polished & sophisticated, i assumed you'd had it in your head for AGES & were just waiting for the right prompt to come along! too funny & awesome!) ♥♥♥♥♥
