City Crafter Cooling Down

Good morning!
I hope you are well ...
I'm so sorry to read about the terrible fires in Arizona ... and the tragic loss of life of the Firefighters ... My thoughts are with all of you out that way - I do hope you are safe

Today our sweet Wendy is hosting for us at City Crafter ... and has given us a lovely photo for her
"Cooling Down" Colour Challenge

I just had to use the lovely ombre digitals again and my favourite Indigo Blu poppy stamp

I printed the Pink Petticoat Ombre digital "Ocean Breeze" directly onto my cardstock
and stamped the poppy twice ... once in Frayed Burlap distress ink for the stem and leaves and once in Momento Bahama Blue ink for the petals ... to which I added liquid pearls and a large sparkly stone

Both were then layered, hand cut and adhere to my card ... a strip of washi tape a verse stamp by Inkylicious and some more sparkly stones just finish it off

I do hope you'll play along with us this week ... we'd love to see what you create with these lovely colours ... Don't forget to visit the blog to see what the other designers have in store for you

Thanks for stopping by

Till soon

~ Ros ~

Love your take on the theme Ros! Gorgeous card! That poppy stamp is beautiful. And so is the sentiment, what a gorgeous font and design. Love that you added liquid pearls and sparkly stones, it's just like the dew drops on the challenge photo.

It is so cruel that those fire fighters lost their lives in that way! My thoughts are with them and their families too!

Your card reminds me of today, here, in my garden, where there is DELICIOUS rain!
