Mixed Media Card

Hello....

How's your day been? We've had some really heavy rain today
Just look what it did to my flowers

The cats have been stuck in most of the day as have we ... Still, it gave me a chance to create

I'm thrilled to say that my dolphins tag got a Highlight award at the

Thank you ladies!!
It inspired me to join in again this week where the challenge is Summer and the optional element is burlap
Because we have such grey clouds today I used grey card but applied all the lovely colours of a summer sea

I used gold Gelatos on the card base first and then took a piece of white CS which I misted in gold and blue Shimmerz paints, stencilled some Patina Shimmerz texture paste and sprayed again...

The layer on top with the shells is a piece of a napkin which I separated and glued to another scrap of CS then used my finger to add some aqua ink along with  Liquid Pearls, seed pearls and stick on pearls...

I did used the optional element ... some grey burlap which I ruffled and stapled down before adding the  wooden 'Hugs' and in the top left corner I used sticky letter to spell the word Summer.

All in all lots of messy playing today ...

I'll be back tomorrow with a new word prompt for
Till then be safe and enjoy your weekend

A wonderful take on the MMCC challenge, thank you for joining us again this month. A very clever idea to give dimension to the imagery on the napkin and use it on a card. Very pleasant colours reminding me if the sea breeze :)
