Just another Birthday

Hello ...

Midway through the week already and I'm busy preparing for tomorrow's Thursday club when my DH decides he needs a birthday card to post to one of his golfing buddies ... like now!

So I quickly put something together ... which is a challenge for me ... I'm usually a slow card maker

I hope his friend likes it ... I mean there's a limit to how many golf themed cards a person can take right?

We're still having lovely mild weather for this time of year and I've been able to spend some time in the garden reading ... I'm a fan of Sophie Hannah's books and have read most of them ... This is the one I just finished ...

Next up is this one

I hope you're having a good week ... Thanks so much for your visit and taking the time to leave your lovely comments

Till soon

A perfect card for a golfer...always love the use of the sequins!! I am a slow card maker, too..heck it takes me half the day just to figure out "what" I want to do!! The books look intriguing....I read everyday..I just finished a good Lisa Jackson book and now I am reading Linda Howard...reading is my "cool down" before I go to bed..such a stress reliever! Hope you are having a great week!

Well DH is lucky, this looks fab so the person getting it is lucky too.

Weather here was pretty wet and horrible, so you were lucky!

Hi Ros! Your hubby does that too!! Unfortunately for my guy, I move slow as molasses and don't quickly put anything together, haha. Your card is gorgeous! I just love the blue and aqua background and how you brought a bit of the colour up onto the letters, so genius!!

Are these books murder mystery types? I like Patricia Cornwell, would they be similar to her? Just curious, I like to sit on the balcony and read in the summer time.

Anyway, big hugs :)

I might have to see if my library carried these. Are they British? I'm hopelessly attracted to British crime fiction. I picked up a Sherlock Holmes and a couple of Agatha Christie's at the library today. I'm having withdrawals from Sherlock, Poirot, Inspector Lewis, and Endeavour. LOL I think the card is lovely. They play enough golf. They can get a card in a different theme. LOL Hugs!

Mmmh, if you have a hard time quickly putting a card together - it doesn't show on this one AT ALL. I love the aqua colors!

Great card - love how the colour comes forward on to the sentiment. I love Sophie Hannah too - absolutely gripping stories.
