Hello...
I hope you're having a good weekend...
This week at
Manuela has chosen the prompt for us ... The word is River
Considering I live close to the River Mersey you'd think I would have quite a few photos ... but strangely enough I don't ... This one was taken when I was out walking my dog some years ago ... The tide is out but you can see the Runcorn bridge in the distance ... a kind of a landmark when returning home from a trip ... I would walk along the river bank here often ... It was always so peaceful
The next one is from my archives ... it was taken 20 years ago when I was on a boat trip along the River Thames
Tower bridge is in the background ... I spent a lot of my childhood in London and it always felt like home to me
This is a more recent one I took of my husband when we were in Cork in Ireland a couple of years ago ... this is the River Lee
It runs right through the centre of Cork
And these these next couple of shots are not technically Rivers ... But I thought they were worth sharing
A group of youngsters in Palma
A shallow river bed in Majorca
and a fjord in Norway
I hope you enjoyed seeing my photos ... We'd love you to link up yours at
Hop on over and take a look at the rest of the photos from around the world
Enjoy a peaceful Sunday
Till soon

As always, I have loved seeing your photos and a part of your life...beautiful photos!!

Hi Ros - a fabulous series of river photos and I'm like you with no having taken photos of rivers, even when they're at your back door...the ones close to our homes I don't think are very interesting, your Mersey River is tidal so that would be so different during the day and the Runcorn Bridge in the background looks very interesting, it standing out like a beaming light. Have a relaxing Sunday and enjoy your week Cheers Robyn
Beautiful photos Ros! I'm so jealous you live by a river, it looks like a beautiful place to live! hugs :)
I always enjoy looking at your photos. You;re a great photographer and I love getting a peek in your world!
XXXXX
Great photos - ah yes the Runcorn Bridge, every driver's misery!! A beautiful shot though :)
I love all your photo's Ros, the rivers are beautiful as peaceful to look at. Water is so calming! Hope you have a wonderful Monday.
I love these Ros!! Thanks for sharing Ros!
You haven't changed a bit Ros, lovely as ever. Two songs are playing around in my head now, The River (by Bruce, of course) and Ferry cross the Mersey. There's always something so peaceful about water, even if it's clattering, like waterfalls. Always love to 'travel' along! Ira x

They are all beautiful in its own way, my favorite is the one you have the tower bridge as backdrop, I remember strolling river thames with my 2 girls few summer ago, those were the days that i missed!
So nice to see these rivers I will never see IRL! THX, Ros!
Lovely photos, Ros!
The Mersey and Thames are both important to me. The Mersey is my old home and I live by the Thames now.
Have a great week!
When the Runcorn bridge was built and we were going to drive over it, my dad told mum she had to drive up over the top:)
