Hello from a very cold Liverpool!
It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this challenge was chosen for us by the lovely Char who will no longer be on the team owing to health issues
We will miss her very much and we are all hoping that she will make a speedy recovery
We do however, have a new team member joining us - The talented Samra (click on her name to go visit her blog)
A warm welcome to Samra ... We know you will love her creations as much as we at City Crafter do
The theme Char picked this week is
Lace and Roses
And of course that means to make a card or project that includes lace and roses
I don't do many shabby style cards anymore though my love of them still remains ... I prefer to make ones with a cleaner style often throwing in a little something extra
So here's what I came up with this week
I used one of my wine labels which you can get Here - This time I left it just as it is ... no stamping - That gorgeous rose is a button (from my friend Kirsty)
Dare I say that once again this card was created mostly from left overs ... I "dipped" the tips of the vellum flourish with gold embossing powder to tie in with the gold paint splats and also added some sparkle to the rose
This card went off to another blog friend Wendy who celebrated her birthday last week
Our Guest Designer this week is Kara Lynne - Winner of challenge week 241 Her creations are so unique! Click the link and take a look around her blog
As always we will be offering a GD spot to this weeks winner so I do hope you'll join in our challenge and go and see what the rest of our team have created on the City Crafter Blog this week ...
Enjoy your day and stay safe
Thanks for your visit

That is one fine card Ros! I immediately thought of Jacqueline's labels when I saw it ;-) Love the rose, it's like a wax seal, and the golden tips of the leaf are so pretty! Great idea!

I love those gold dipped vellum leaves and your beautiful button that is so well balanced with your coral paper. Thanks for the shout out, it's so fun to be guest designing this week!
Oh, so pretty, Ros! Love that shine! I just played around with that tipped-embossing technique a couple of weekends past. I really need to share the result ASAP ;). Love!
Really romantic and so pretty! You always have a great technique! Miss you girls! Pneumonia better , have to wait for a referral from dr on the gallbladder
Lovely card, love the gold touch on it!
Absolutely stunning creation, Ros! Love the gold dipped die cut & gold splatters!
The gold dipping is so fun! What a creative touch Ros. Love it!
Wow, how gorgeous this is! I wondered why I was getting traffic on my Etsy shop via your blog (thanks!). This has been pinned - you have show cased the label in such a classy way!! Very beautiful creativity!
Yay, and I'm the happy receiver of your gorgeous card!! It's standing right next to me, so I can enjoy it any time. Sending you big hugs, xx
Gold is so on trend these days and you nailed our challenge. I rarely make something shabby chic; I tried to make them a few years ago but it just isn't my thing. It looks horrible when I create something like that ; I just want to add too much. I guess that's why I prefer lots of white and using CAS a lot lately:)
Your card is lovely; I love the trendy addition of the gold splatters too!
