Love

Good morning

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week Stella is our lovely hostess

The theme she has chosen is
You Matter

Stella is asking that we create a card or project to let someone know that they matter

DH and I took Stella's son out to dinner last Friday ... He's doing his Masters Degree here at Liverpool University - My, what a lovely young man he is ... such a credit to his parents and what a great evening we had

I had some fun playing with watercolour using Gelatos for this challenge ...

I watered down the red and gold Gelatos onto an acrylic stamping block and smooched them onto a scrap of watercolour paper and added a few splats ... These are quickly becoming my trade mark I think lol!

There's a scrap of pink sequined organza  just behind the watercolour paper and you can also see a strip of stars that are on acetate which I rescued from an old shop bought card

Our Guest Designer this week is Maria f. Winner of challenge week 244 ... Click the link on her name and go visit her blog ... Maria has a wonderful style and you'll love seeing her creations

As always this week's winner will also be offered a GD spot with us so come and share your creations for those people who matter to you.
Don't forget to check out the projects up on the City Crafter Blog too!

There are a few challenges I like to enter this card at ...
Those lovely ladies at Just Us Girls  are having a Word Week challenge

Crafty Card Makers  - A new (to me) challenge blog is also about Love

And Love is the theme at The Mixed Media Card Challenge

Wishing you a lovely day

Hugs

That background is so pretty. I keep looking at gelatos and wondering - your card makes me think I really do need some :)

Well, you are a master with those backgrounds!! I love when a card can be put together with bits of this and that and then end up looking like it all was meant to be together in the first place!! Beautiful card!!

Your card looks so artistic Ros! Just love that background of yours, so pretty! Loved to hear of your chair story, too, btw ;-) Yes, sometimes we girls can be quite impulsive, can't we? Glad to hear your dinner with Stella's son was so nice. Enjoy your evening!

Oh Ros, your post filled my heart with happiness. Marcel and I are so thankful that you and your DH are there for Martijn. Your compliment made me blush (almost tear-y...) And I will thank you once we are there with Martijn and you. So exciting!
Your card is a gem! ( I recognise the birdie:) Using gelatos is amazing. I love the background; subtle and so gorgeous. Your remark about splatters made me laugh; I have the same with sequins :) I love that word die just as much as you do. A stunning card!
Speak to you soon. Sending love from us. I am way behind with comments; Iwill catch up.
