Vintage Garden

Good morning from a cold and wet Liverpool
I'm really fed up of the rain and the cold but in a weeks' time I will be flying off to spend a few days in a warmer part of the world thanks goodness!

Today I have a little mixed media piece to share ... my blog friend Pamellia has started her own Mixed Media challenge blog Here

So to support her first challenge I pulled out my paints and stencils and trinkets...
The challenge is a Vintage Garden

You can see the many paints I used on that stencilled background ... The wooden items also took 3 different embossing powders, Silver, copper and distressed walnut - some of the wood border was originally a frame that I broke apart ... I knew they'd come in handy some day

The tree was made from styrofoam ... I cut a shape from a styrofoam ball and added two different paints - hot glued a small twig and voila!

The little angel was a gift from my friend Sue Lelli and I had to add it ... I smeared 2 more paints over it to make it look aged and moss covered

The challenge at Just Us Girls this week is embossing

So I'll enter it there too.....

It's not often I do mixed media but given that it was such a wet and dismal day it was fun to sit for an afternoon and just get covered in paint

Have a beautiful weekend ...

Till son

A work of art! You're one of those people who can do absolutely anything, Ros--I'd think Mixed Media was your specialty looking at this! Come on over to my house--in the 80s with lots of sun & we could have a great time visiting!

Wow! I was wondering if you had glued egg shells on that tree at first. Cool effect from the Styrofoam. I bet you had tons of fun playing with all the things you used to create this. :-)
