Hello there ...
Well it's been a busy week ...Yesterday my husband and I took Stella's son Martijn to the airport - His 6 month term here has ended and now he is back with his family ... We shall miss him greatly
Hop over to Stella's blog and take a peek at the photos she just posted ... It brought a lump to my throat and I know that Marcel will enjoy his Father's day!
I haven't had a great deal of time for creating but I do have a card to share that I made for my husband for Father's Day
He never gets cards from his own children which is a shame knowing all he does for them but at least he will have one from me
There's a great challenge going on at AAA Cards and my card fits the bill there
Click on the link to take a look
The stamp I used is a Penny Black christmas stamp and I used distress stains to colour it
...Then added some stencilling around the image
On another note I was fortunate to have This card picked as a winner over at the Card Concept this week and I also gained an Honourable Mention for my mixed media piece Here over at the Anything But Cut Challenge so I am really thrilled!
Thank you so much ladies!
I'll be back tomorrow ... enjoy the rest of your day

Ros, your coloring of those deer is wonderful! I love the design of your card too. Thanks for letting me know about the CCCB, it's been such a hectic week that I haven't been keeping up. I'm moving my mom into a senior living apartment and we only have one month to prepare her house FULL of "memories".
What a really beautiful thought and card Ros!
Congratulations on all your good news - and on your latest card, too!
Beautiful deer. Love the stencilling too.
How sweet of you to make your hubby a Father's day card, although it's kind of sad he doesn't get one from the kids. I really love those deer, I think I will try and hunt this one down. Congrats on both of your wins, you are such a talented lady and I just loved your mixed media piece to bits!! have a great weekend Ros. hugs :)
Gorgeous card Ros!! Your husband will appreciate it, I am sure :) Can't wait to see what you made for tomorrow :)
Congrats on all your honors Ros! You painted the deer perfectly and I really like the split panel design. Hugs!
I love your Father's Day card, Ros,I love the deer! Yes, it is a shame, my children don't usually send their dad cards either.
Such a beautiful pair of deer, love the expression on the doe's face. Wonderful idea to make your husband a card, think giving cards is a bit of a generation thing, my boys think I'm odd. Thanks for sharing at AAA Cards.
Oh my, I absolutely LOVE every beautiful detail of your card...the stenciling with the deer is so creative and beautiful! My hubby never gets a card from his boys either, it's a sore subject with me each year, but my daughter and youngest son always remember him and that means a lot to him! Congrats on your "wins" too, you deserve it with your gorgeous cards!
Stella is thrilled to have her son back, but I can imagine that you will miss him. Six month is quite a long time. I assume you will keep in touch. Today the day it's so easy because of social media, isn't it?
I love your card! The deers are beautiful!
Congratulations on your winning cards!
congrats to you, well deserved, love your created deer card, so cute and the deers are so pretty.
Wow, Ros... good going on the win and the honorable mention... congratulations!!! Your work and talent are always worthy... your deer card is a perfect example. This is gorgeous... from the stars to the deers! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Congratulations on your honors! Your card with the deer is so sweet with great design! And, how great of you to have helped with Stella's son! I'm sure Stella and family are happy to have him back home! Take care and have a wonderful week!:-)
Great card, love the deer. That 6 months has whizzed by!
What a great, guy card! Love your use of white space and, once again, that bit of stencil work! Yum!
This is fabulous!!!!!!
You are so creative, Ros--this is just fabulous! Love your coloring with the stains & the stenciling & the balloon--never would have thought to use one! It is sad his kids don't even send a card. So wish my dad was still here.
Very pretty and realistic looking! Thanks for playing at AAA Card Challenges! Xx Justine
