Countryside

Hello and good morning!

My aunt is now back home in Lincoln and it was rather sad not to see her sweet face today ... I shall miss her, the laughter, our girly chats and the light she radiates wherever she is ... hopefully it wont be too long before we are together again.

Well as always Sunday sees a new prompt at

This week Kirsty has chosen the word Countryside

I dug out some old photos for this prompt even though they are not very clear - This photo is a favourite of mine ... It was taken in Derbyshire ... DH, Holly dog and I went on what was supposed to be a 2 hour hike

Somehow we took a wrong turn and it lasted all day until the mist came down ... We had to cross fields of cows and sheep ... It was quite daunting at times but a good memory....

We once rented a very old cottage in Scotland again with our beloved Holly

We were surrounded by the magnificent Scottish countryside ... Forests full of deer and other woodland animals ... On a walk through the forest a golden labrador appeared from nowhere and to Holly it was love at first sight!

That labrador followed us right through the forest and we were so surprised to come across this old empty mansion house right in the heart of the forest

It must have been a magnificent country house at one time

As much as I love the beach, the countryside calls to my soul ... there is nothing more beautiful or as enchanting
I'll leave you with a photo of the Welsh countryside in Autumn ... Simply beautiful!

And go see what the rest of the team are sharing

Have a beautiful day

Gorgeous pics Ros! I can't be positive, but I THINK that I saw a horror movie that was filmed in part at that abandoned mansion, how weird would that be! hugs :)

what fun pictures...I have to admit, I would have been a little freaked out to have been kind of lost for a day, but had you not been lost you would not have discovered the gorgeous country side.

I agree with you that the Welsh countryside is stunning and wondrous. Like you I love Scotland too.
(Leek seed heads are very similar to those of chives, you are right!)

Love the look of that holiday cottage.
