I guess it can be interpreted in different ways...
This little guy certainly knows how to gather those nuts and push them into his cheeks
Then there are those who gather for a photo
...Or to protect their property when an invader appears... The idea is not to give each other eye contact
This one was taken in Mijas some years ago...A square where people gather

Each photo had a wonderful interpretation of 'gather'... totally love the squirrel one! We don't have them here. :(
