Oh Deer

Hello! Happy Halloween!
Can you believe it's the last day of October already? Christmas is getting ever closer and I have another card to share

I made this a few weeks ago ... playing with embossing paste ... it makes for good snow when randomly applied

I love those deer ... It's a Penny Black stamp and I coloured it with distress inks

Are you trick or treating this evening? It never used to be such a big thing here in the UK but it's catching on fast... We will get a steady flow of children calling shortly for their sweets
Personally I preferred how it was when I was a kid ... Duck apple night we called it ... We had fun, no scary costumes and no way would our parents allow us to knock on strangers doors for sweets... I confess I do love to see the little children dressed up though

Whatever you are doing have fun and be safe

Till soon

Classy Ros. The deer are elegant and the snow setting you've created just brings a feeling of the peace that your sentiment states. Lovely work my friend. Hugs!

It is beautiful, I love the coloring too!
Just like you, I grew up not knowing what is halloween and was pretty fun when I saw adults and kids dressing while living in NYC, but I have to admit I was afraid then, after moving to Las Vegas, we live in a house instead of an apartment, I got really excited the first year when kids come knocking at the door, I can see them up close, last year was our first halloween at the strip, oh boy, can't tell you how fun it was seeing people dressing up, in VEGAS? Even on a regular day you'd see weirdo, let alone Halloween night, fancy costume of all sorts, as weird as it could be, come on, it is vegas! So yah, we are going to the strip again tonight! : )

Beautiful coloring! I still have about 2 hours left to make up my mind about going to the Halloween opening at the Botanical Gardens... but somehow I don't think it will happen!

A big hello Ros - I've been distracted for the past month and hardly done any blogging and made very few cards...but happily now I'm hoping to catch up now that gorgeous Mia Jayne has joined our family..one very happy Nanna. I've had a great look back at your gorgeous cards and then find that you have also been unwell...so I'm sending you a huge hug and hope you're feeling much better now. I love your work especially your Foxy Christmas card. Have a wonderful new month Cheers Robyn

No we are not lovers of Halloween but do recall many happy nights as kids ducking for apples, the simple things in life and yes we would never have been allowed to knock on strangers doors for sweets either x Your card is beautiful. That is such a pretty stamp and you've coloured it in beautifully. Great idea about the embossing paste, thanks for the tip x

Poured down rain here, so we had very few kiddos & the costumes were covered up. This is one beautiful card, my friend! I may have those deer & now I need to go find that stamp & try coloring with Distress Inks--thanks for the inspiration!
