Thinking of you

Hello ...

Just have a card to share for all my friends living on the East Coast of the USA to say I am thinking of you

One of my dearest friends lives in New Jersey ... We have been friends since I was 4 years old and I miss her a lot ... She posted photos of the weather there and being a nurse, staying home from work is not an option

I used the negative of my skyline die as a stencil to sponge some distress ink and coloured the trees using my Copic Ciaos... As you all know, I am a newbie when it comes to Copics, and to colouring for that matter... I gather that certain inks are not advisable for your stamped image but as my 'go to' ink is always Versafine (not recommended) I always cover it in clear E/B and heat it which eliminates any problem and I like the shiny look it gives to the outline image

I hope your weather is improving and  you all stay safe

Oops! I almost forgot to say that I am also posting this card to support my teamies over at Double D challenges where the theme is "Brrr"... A Winter Time Theme

Till soon

What a beautiful card this is Ros and a lovely sentiment. Such beautiful design work.

We have seen pictures on our news reports of the conditions people are facing in the USA because of the volume of snow. Our thoughts are with them too and also the people in our country who are suffering the awful flooding. Barbxx

It is lovely!
Dolce is in NYC, she works full time now right at midtown, and Randy is in Boston, cold weather for both of them.

Love the scene you created. CAS at its best again. the city in the soft brown instead of the usual black looks so classy.

Another lovely card! I'm glad to hear that you're facing the same problem when coloring stamped images with Copics... it's one of the reasons I ver ymuch prefer to work with digis. But I like your solution!

Fantastic creation Ros! Yes, the East Coast got a LOT of snow last weekend that they don't typically have to deal with. Thanks for 'thinking of them' and sharing with us (your teamies) on Double D!

I love that skyline and the trees in front of it are beautiful. Hope you are warm and safe too; it's rainy with storm here; yikes!

You make the most beautiful, artful cards, Ros. Your skyline on this is just beautiful and your Copic coloring of the trees looks expert. I'm on the west coast and not getting the snow, but watching it on the news. Pretty bad!

You are doing wonderfully with your Copics Ros. Very nice details on the trees and the inked skyline image is very clever. Sending big hugs!
