City Crafter 349 Old Stuff New Look

Good morning!

Happy Valentine's Day

It's noisy round here ... We're having the en-suite replaced and I can't wait till it's done. I'm not a fan of workmen in my home Lol! It means early mornings and noisy days with tea being served constantly... That's how are workmen keep going in the UK.

Today is City Crafter Challenge day and this week funnily enough the theme is
Old Stuff - New Look

Picked for us by Kirsty ... Hop on over to the blog for full details

It took me ages to decide what to do ... I trawled through many of my past creations and cringed at some of the early ones, what was I thinking? Lol! In the end I decided to go with a card I did last year and one I really liked ... Here's the original

And here's the new version

I did the same curvy ink blending just using a piece of card for a template and used the same colour distress inks

The little fish I found on a web search, the colours were perfect so after saving them, I was able to resize and print them on to glossy paper, then I just hand cut them.

We have a terrific Guest Designer this week from the blog Magic Flying Boots - Click the link to go visit and I'm sure like me you will just love her creations!
Then head on over to the City Crafter Blog to see what the team have to inspire you this week.

Enjoy your day and thanks so much for stopping by

Amazing Ros. I love the original card, but the new version has such a soft and natural flow to it, I couldn't take my eyes off of it! The bling bubbles are fabulous and the glittery sentiment is very elegant! Well done!

Love the vibrancy of the first one with the lovely text but extra loving the second with the slightly softer look, the silver sentiment and the fun Fishes... (sentiment and swimming ones!) LOL x

Wow, Ros, these are sensational! I love the inky effects, beautiful. Makes such a pretty background for the die-cuts.

I can;t decide so if you don't mind I think they are both terrific:) This colour palette is one of my favorites. You are up early; I hope it that your ensuite will turn out as planned. Take care; it's a busy week for you!

Both the original and the newer version are fab once again your colour palette are stunning. I do however like the touch of extra white space on the second beautifully crisp and CAS.
