City Crafter 350

Hello!

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week the lovely Stella is hosting for us
Her challenge theme is
"A Few Stitches"

Stella is asking that we use stitching on our projects by using stitched dies or faux stitching

I pulled out a piece of CS that I had sponged and embossed but never used - I wasn't happy with the colours at the time

...But with my stitched square dies (a gift from Stella) together with a stitched banner die I had, I made them work by breaking up the colours into frames

I also came across some of those epoxy sticker hearts hiding in my stash and together with a little die cut leaf, they were perfect for the design I had in mind

I'm delighted to say that we have the lovely and very talented Marie from Baileyrosy blog as our GD this week...Marie hails from my home town even though she now lives in Greece... Do hop on over to her Blog and take a peek at her lovely creations

We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week, I hope you'll join us and if you need more inspiration, go visit CCCB to see what the rest of the team have created.

Have a beautiful day

Thank you so much for your kind words and for having me as GD this week. Well I dont know why you weren't happy with your colours i find that your colouring/stamping is always sublime and the same here. Great use of the stitch dies I couldnt believe when I saw this weeks theme not owning a single stitch die , thank goodness for the Cameo.

Just to let you know the stitches on my card were printed not drawn you just offset the image and then turn the printed line from solid to broken and print away its dead easy otherwise I wouldnt be doing it lol.

Such a fabulous idea to break the sponged background up with the die cut squares. So pretty, so delicate looking and so gorgeous. Always good to keep previous backgrounds etc...you never know when you are going to use them. Bet you are glad you kept this one as your card is beautiful x

I can't imagine what it was about the background you didn't like, but, of course, I didn't see it before you cut it up. I can say it looks very pretty on your card. The soft colors are sweet and easy on the eyes. Beautifully designed with the one offset square. Love that! The gorgeous epoxy heart is a wonderful focal point. So small, yet so beautiful!

Oh Ros, I love this. What a perfect way to use that panel. It is such a clean design, but it has such a WOW factor. I need some stitched squares, but even if I had them I would never have thought to do this.

This is beautiful blending, Ros, and I love the way you have offset the die cuts to create stunning dimension! The epoxy sticker, leaf, and white-embossed banner balance everything! (I'm pretty sure I have some of those pretty epoxy stickers around here!) Hugs, Darnell
