Hello...
Cats & Critters? Well here we go...
First off here's my my latest crochet creation (I'm really enjoying this new hobby) A lovey I made for my hubbies little Granddaughter Felicity
It's supposed to be a cat - I'm told she loves cats and I'm pretty pleased with this attempt
I hope she likes it too
Still on the subject of cats, a few months ago another one turned up here and refuses to leave.
She has now taken over Tabby's home...
Trouble is, she fights with all the visitors and terrorises Missy... although she is extremely friendly with us. I'm waiting for someone to come and scan her for a chip, but I have a feeling she may belong to one of the neighbours and if that is the case, I doubt we can deter her. Now, anyone that has cats knows that not feeding them doesn't mean they will go away... This one will just find a way into the house for food, and when she first came she was starving...
Critters?
Well, Monday a baby hedgehog decided to visit too... In the middle of the afternoon if you please! Sure enough the new cat chased after it and trapped it, thank goodness we saw it
Mikey got the cat whilst I got the hedgehog and put it safely back into the wooded area behind our home
I tell 'ya, it's all go here and the very same evening would you believe we had a visit from a fox! God only knows how that managed to get into the garden!
Who ever said retirement was easy, doesn't live here! Lol!
And I'm working tonight with my group so it's going to be a long day!
I hope you all have a good one
Till soon

What a fun crocheted cat, Ros, and of course I love the hedgehog....a fox, well they must be hungry to come in...Have a beautiful weekend!
I have never seen a baby hedgehog! So darling! Love your new hobby! I see many gifts in the future! And of course the kitties know to come to your home!
Hope group went well & that you can have some rest time now! Your crocheted kitty is beyond adorable--perfect for the little one! I don't think we have wild hedgehogs, but can we trade our skunk for your hedgehog?! Actually, the skunk has not returned that I know of, thankfully! Kind of scary to have a fox in the garden. They're down the street where there's a golf course & river, but I've never seen one near our house. Wishing the new kitty would go home--too bad he doesn't play nice as he is a pretty fellow! Sending hugs, my friend!
Ros, you're simply amazing with the crochet! You've really taken to it. The kitty in a blanket is darling! I love all those little blanket critters that toddlers can carry around. I try to find one for each new baby that comes along in my circle of friends. Looks like you have yourself a new cat. If she belongs to one of the neighbors I wonder why she was starving? Too bad she's such a dominant gal. Poor Missy. We don't have hedgehogs here, more's the pity. They're so cute! Porcupines look somewhat like hedgehogs, but you don't want to mess with a porcupine! Luckily they don't come into the garden. Retirement? I'm busier than ever!
So enjoyed reading your post...yep the word is on the street that your home is a great one to visit...and maybe stay x What a cute 'cat' comforter... you have put love into this and I am sure it will be loved in return x
Critters and children are very good at sniffing out friendly homes! LOVE the cat you crocheted...adorable. I hope you're enjoying the summer and I'm so glad you and Mikey make time to visit~ Big hugs, Rebecca
We have plenty of critters too, Ros. No hedgehogs or foxes though. TFS your very interesting day and do enjoy your new hobby..crocheting. I am a knitter, but my stamping the last few years have taken over as my #1 crafting hobby. All my extra time is taken up with gardening this time of year. Don't know how we ever found time to work outside the home....
Hugs....
Oh, my! Your crocheted cat creation with blanket is just adorable, Ros! And, I'm sure that Felicity will treasure it...so cute!! I love hearing your animal stories, how exciting! We occasionally see deer behind our house in the field and once saw a red fox. The critters must know how you love animals!!:-))
You are so talented Ros, your crochet work is gorgeous.
Good luck with your stray.
We had one for 14 years but sadly he died in January.
Sue x
Blimey! I imagine you living in a small zoo! The crochet cat is fabulous (it does look a bit foxy to me) and the tiny ones seem to love the half animal/ half blanket things.
LOL Guess I nailed it with my last comment "cat lady". Am I going to read about you marching down the streets playing the pipe with all your kitties following behind. ha! ha! The crocheted cat is adorable. Bet she'll carry it around like a security blanket. Those hedgies are soooo cute. Thanks for rescuing the little guy. Hugs!
These critters just kow where they are welcome / well taken care of! Your new crocheting project is adorable and Felicity must have loved it!
Aaaw this crochet project is beautiful Ros - you are so talented! Love the kitty and little hedgehog too - once in the arms and then they are forever in one's heart :-D
What a great post, Ros! I love the little moppet lovey you made for Felicity and I'm sure it will be a fave of hers! It's the sweetest design! And a new cat? And a real live hedgie in the daytime? And a fox? I can see that I should have skipped the tour of Liverpool and just gone to the wild kingdom otherwise known as your house!! Hugs, Darnell
That is so lovely, bet Felicity loves it!
You can certainly crochet beautifully as well as your card making! And what a pretty cat that has to 'reside'...he/she must of had a reason to leave home, I find that eventually they usually get along! Those heggies are so cute, we don't have them here, they look prickley are they?
