You ever get the feeling you want to just hide and let someone else take care of things for awhile? That's how I feel today .. It's just the way life is sometimes
Well how about some glitter to add a little sparkle I said to myself... I know, when did I last use glitter? Lol! Though there was a time I never made a card without it. That was in the days I went through my shabby chic faze... But I moved on and these have smooched backgrounds
I used 2 distress oxide inks Broken China and Cracked Pistachio and one ordinary distress ink Blueprint Sketch... Well, I only own 3 oxide inks so far but I love these colours
I don't have much in the way of glitter anymore either... This is an old one by Kaban
My next card also has acetate covering it so not easy to photograph but I didn't want any of that glitter to shed
I have a feeling Miss Sophia may claim this one, she loves glittery things
Both cards were done the same ... Die cutting the images out of the smooched BG and then adding double sided adhesive in the negative part and burnishing the glitter into the space...
Well I feel better already...
Have a lovely day my friends

Theses are lovely Ros...I am drawn to the first one but I love those colors...made a note of them as i as yet don't own any Oxides...I keep resisting as I know I will want/need them all!!!...no SPACE...NO MONEY!!!...lol Hope you are feeling better now...I know that feeling...when you just can't take any more....that's what happens when we are capable people eh!!xx
I'm glad you feel better, Ros--your gorgeous cards have brightened my day, that's for sure! I still have all my glitter & still love it, but don't think I've ever used it for the negative space--now I've got to try it! Love the backgrounds--gorgeous shades of ink together! I still just have 1 DO pad, so haven't even opened it. I will as soon as I use a coupon to get 1 more color. Sending big hugs, Greta
Yes I have an aversion to glitter but I love the effect it achieves so don't use it often either. Great colour combination Ros...no need to buy anymore oxides....x Great smooshing and such beautiful and eye catching cards. Miss Sophia is one lucky girl x Glad you feel a little better after doing the cards, maybe we should use glitter more often??? Hope tomorrow is a better day?
I feel much better and have a smile on my face too after seeing these two beauties Ros! Don't you just love the DOX inks?! They are one of my absolute favorite inks right now and I just love the backgrounds they create! And yours are SO pretty! And the added glitter really does make a big splash on both these cards! Lovely, lovely cards Ros!! :0)
They look fabulously glittery but not at all tacky - gorgeous - and I hope they lifted your spirit.
Beautiful cards! I'd like to CASE them, but I don't completely understand your technique. Did you stamp the leaves and then die cut them? Please let us know your secret. Thanks!
I LOVE your DOX inks smooshed backgrounds, Ros. Adding your glittery images adds even more depth to your pretty cards. I am glad you are feeling more relaxed and less overwhelmed after your creative therapy:-) TFS Hugs...
Sometimes you just need a little sparkle in your life. I feel better already, too! These are beautiful! Your watercolor backgrounds always inspire me!
Big hug to you my friend! Hope you feel better now!
Beautiful cards with glitters!
I just got home last night from Singapore, got a lot of catch up to do though, take care YOU!
LOVE the colors, LOVE the glitter, LOVE the designs! The mermaid is something I would fight Sophia for! LOL!
I'm so glad you had a brief respite from being pulled in ten directions, Ros! Your glittery makes not only made you feel better, they made US feel totally inspired! They are both stunning, but that mermaid card looks so real, I swear I am looking into an aquarium!! Hugs, Darnell
Oh, your cards are gorgeous with the water colored backgrounds and glitter! The mermaid looks so dreamy, so very beautiful!! Fabulous cards, Ros! Have a great weekend!
I love both cards, Ros! Such a beautiful color combination and effect in the backgrounds! The blue glitter adds glamour to the cards, but because it's blue (cold tone), it doesn't make the cards look glitzy. You've achieved a great balance! I'm also glad that the card-making therapy made you feel better. :-) Hideko
Both cards are beautiful...love the blues!
These are full of 'sparkle-y' goodness!! Your backgrounds are always so pretty too! Sometimes glitter makes me happy too, (except when I accidentally dump it and then I have glittered cats for days...lol)!!
Such beauties! The mermaid card is positively enchanting!
Wowza! The glitter was just the ticket. Great effect!
