Me and the Flower Girl

Well hello...
It's a very wet and dull day here and hubby is sulking because it's a golf day...But it's a far cry from those suffering the storms sweeping across the world... My heart goes out to everyone affected, I just cannot imagine being in their shoes...

Well, unfortunately our plans changed this week and my Aunt couldn't come to visit...A doctor should have come to see her to give her the 'all clear to go' and didn't turn up, so hopefully all being well, we may have her here next week.

I took a day out to recoup and then immersed myself into the projects for Thursday Club that started last night and I hope to catch up with you all today.

I'm still doing a little crocheting and a few weeks ago I made a little flower girl

I'm teaching myself as I go

And it's brilliant to be able to look up just about anything on Pinterest, not that I can sit at the computer for any length of time - Blast this sciatica!

And I don't always get it right... I made lots of leaves and don't think I got 2 the same! Yesterday I tried making curly hair for another doll I'm doing and I was thrilled that it worked

So from me and the flower girl, that's it for now...

I hope you have a beautiful day and please be safe

~ Ros ~

I'm upset that this post didn't show up in my Feedly, but I always know where to find you. I adore all your super cute crochet works! She's darling with the flowers and leaves and her tulle skirt. Love her crimped-looking curls. When I was a teenager my long hair did just like that. Of course, back then I hated it and so I slept on those huge rollers, ugh! Do doctors still make house calls there?

So the doctor just didn't show up? Everybody has a smartphone today and still they don't manage to at least let people know they won't come? Anyhow - what a cute flower girl! I can't believe how fast you go and how perfect all your creations are.

What an adorable doll you've made, Ros! She has pretty flowers, beautiful curly hair, and wearing a cute tutu, and shoes! It's amazing that you crocheted all the details! I liked the Girl with Attitude last month, but I like this Flower Girl better now. :-) Hideko

Your crocheted flower girl is just darling, Ros! Beautiful flower, sweet, face, and sweet tulle skirt on her! I hope the doctor sees your Aunt and things work out for her very soon for next week. And, I feel for you with your sciatica. I hope that improves very soon, too! Hang in there, hugs!

Sweet flower girl, Ros. A little girl will love her friend:-) Your details are so cute and colors bright and fun. TFS and agree...so much sadness and devastation with all the storms. We are dealing with the smoke from all the fires in the Pacific Northwest, but are far enough away that we are safe.

Take care and do your stretches for your sciatica. Have you been to a chiropractor? I imagine you have tried everything by now. Sitting is definitely the hardest.

Hugs...

From what I can see, you are really good at your new craft! Your flower girl is sweet and pretty!
Hope your aunt get to come visit soon!
We were watching and keeping track of Hurricane Irma on TV, and I told Randy, just imagine we have to lug our bags and dog and go live in a shelter, sigh.... we really have to cherish what we have, life is really unpredictable!

Keep thinking--what would I do if I had to evacuate & I can't even figure out what I'd grab. An impossible situation & my heart breaks seeing the pictures. At least there's warning for storms, as opposed to the people caught in the earthquake. We're in an earthquake zone & in a flood zone, but you just have to make the most of every day. On to happier thoughts--I adore this sweet flower girl, Ros--you just keep amazing me! go ahead & send us some of that rain--haha!

Oh my...could your little flower girl be any sweeter?! She is absolutely adorable and everything about her looks perfect to me! I can't crochet to save my life (I'm a knitter) so every stitch on her looks fabulous to me! :0)
