Unicorns and Magic

Good morning!
Well it's warmed up a little here, the ice and snow have disappeared and the cats have been out and about.

I've been working on projects for my sweet group and I thought I'd just share the Mother's Day gift that they will be assembling this week

I hand cut 24 boxes with front and backs... The little unicorn face was done on my computer... Firstly, I shaded in for some cheeks and found a picture of eyelashes on the web... Using photoshop I was able to take out the background of the eyelashes and place them over the cheeks. It worked really well and I just then printed them all out.
The ears, horn and leaves were all cut  on my Cameo. Inside the box are some pretty foiled chocolate hearts.

They will aslo be making a little card to go with this, really simple for them to make

Now I just have to come up with something for next week...

I'm back at physio later today, it's going to take a long while before I'm fully fit. My body has to realign now my spine has been screwed into place and the internal healing will take months so I am still experiencing a fair it of discomfort from time to time... Still I'm so grateful to the skill of the surgeon for all he has done... In case you are wondering... Below is how my spine now looks... With a new 'disc' made from my own bone, scews and a cage too. Magic!

Have a wonderful day

Awwwww...what a sweet, sweet little box Ros!! I LOVE those eyelashes!! The card is perfect to go with it too...there are going to be some happy mom's out there!! Glad to hear you're doing better, but remember that it usually takes a good 6 months for surgeries to totally heal...you'll get there!! :0)

Oh, how sweet! Your unicorn box is simply adorable, Ros! I'm sure it will be a big hit for Mother's Day...how fun! And, the card with flowers and gems is perfect with the pretty patterned papers! I hope you keep improved with your back! I can understand it will take time and gentle care. I can relate having had back surgery many years ago. You just hang in there and do your best! In the meantime, creativity brings lots of smiles! Love your work, Ros! Hugs!!

Whaaat??? Oh, my word, that box is so CUTE! My mind is boggled at your cleverness in creating the design and putting it all together. The blush under the eyelashes just seals the deal. Love it! And such a darling, fun card to go with it. Your group is so lucky to have you. They must have a blast! This is such a huge weekly task, but you pull it off beautifully. Yikes, it's no wonder your back will take some time to heal. That's a lot of magic in there!

Very lovely project Ros! The leashes look so real, I thought you have too many of those fake leashes that need to get rid of (wink.. wink...)
Wishing the pain go away soon, big hug!!!!

Beautiful, fun and creative gift box and card, Ros. I know you have much more healing for your remodeled spine, but with all the stamping you have been doing..it must be much better than all the pain before surgery. PT is so necessary for your healing. Painful at times, but so worth it. TFS your projects and photo of all your amazing and interesting hardware. Hugs..
