Hello...
Boy it rained heavily last night...
This morning the air is clear and heady with the scent of blossom and lilac but look at my poor tree
...Barely able to stand under the weight of the raindrops
And there is one little rain soaked poppy peeking out from the foliage
It may not be very warm but it's getting much more colourful each day and the other half of the garden where we are re- landscaping has finally been started
I have a card to share that I made for my friend's wedding anniversary... You may remember that I made all the invitations and save the date cards for her and I can hardly believe it will be a year next Saturday since the wedding took place.
It's a really simple watercolour card
...In shades of blue as my friend likes
Of course we have a very Royal Wedding next Saturday too and our Thursday Club is also celebrating it's 25th year. We had so much fun this week making 25 Bee ladies and 25 cards. Some of the more severely disabled guys are accompanied by male support workers and they are becoming experts at putting the creations together... sometimes doing 4 at a time.
I hope you enjoy your weekend... Thanks so much for your visit

Hi Ros. I woke up this morning with heavy thunderstorms, lot of lighting and lots of rain. Good for the gardens though, but your lilacs will bounce back up once the water falls off. Thanks for sharing your garden pictures, so pretty when things start to bloom! As for your card, another simple yet elegant creation! Love the background in blues and that bit of gold, so pretty. Your friend will love this! Sounds like a busy week ahead for you. Have fun and take care.
Been raining for the last 48 hours here too Ros, but I must say that even with all the rain you've had, your photos are still BEAUTIFUL and loving all the color!! Your anniversary card is lovely too...such a beautiful water colored background and it looks fabulous with the gold embossing!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend too!! :0)
Ι love rain, Ros, as long as my flowers are not destroyed. You have a beautiful garden, my friend. And your card is awesome. I love watercolours! Kisses!!!
Poor lilacs, but still beautiful & I can almost smell them! Not pruning mine this year at all, so maybe it will bloom next year. Can just imagine all the fun at group making the bees--wish I could be one of your helpers! One year already?! Your friend is going to love the beautiful card, Ros--what a great idea to just add a sentiment to a gorgeous panel! Hoping you get some sun--we're having another heat wave--for 2 days, anyway!
Oh, my!! I'm beside myself with the beauty of this post. Not only do you have a lovely card in blues and gold and vellum -- LOVE it -- but your rain-soaked garden is spectacular, as well! I love how the rain washes the garden and seems to make the colors more vivid, but it can wreak havoc on the blooms. I'm so glad you shared these photos. I would welcome more anytime!
Oh we need that rain so badly here. Everything is so dusty and the grass is begging for a drink, not to mention the flowers. Your watercolor is so pretty. The gold is wonderful and carries through to your sentiment to pull it all together.
Oh, bless those beautiful lilacs! What a shame! They are my favorite and they don't grow around here. I remember them fondly from my childhood and swear I can smell them just from looking at the photo! Thank you for sharing, Ros! They are still gorgeous even when they are rain-soaked!
Your anniversary card is just right for your friend! It IS hard to believe it is their first anniversary already! We are all on royal wedding watch here, too! Hugs, Darnell
So much GORGEOUSNESS in this post! LOVE your rain soaked beauties and that card is just lovely! Yes a year passes so quickly now! Wish I could be there and help with your club. Right up my alley! Are you attending the royal wedding?
Beautiful blue and gold watercolored background for your heat eb gold sentiment. TFS Ros. The warm rain will make your plants grow like weeds:-) Hugs...
Thank you for sharing the photos of the flowers and the tree.....they look very sorry for themselves indeed but still so very pretty. Yes where did that year go?....Wonderful card, so fresh looking and so pretty x Glad the male support workers are becoming experts LOL x Royal wedding watcher here too x
Beautiful card Ros!
We've had lots of rain here, too! It was a cold day with the temps and it felt like winter again...lol! But, it's warmer today. More rain off and on for the next few days, but warmer...yeah! Your lilacs are just gorgeous! We planted a new lilac bush last year and hope to see full blooms with it for next year. A gorgeous anniversary card for your friend with lovely water colored background and touches of gold, so pretty! Looking forward to seeing all the coverage on the royal wedding next weekend!! Take care, hugs!!
Such a lovely anniversary card, Ros! The stately font looks regal on the blue water coloring. Rain or not, your flowers look gorgeous. I'm slowly making my way back to blogging and I hope you're doing well.
Green looks greener after the rain, doesn't it? You have a beautiful garden, Ros!
Your anniversary card is artsy and sophisticated. Love the shades of blue and the gold heat-embossed sentiment! Hideko xx
It sounds like Spring over there! This is so beautifully done!
Busy week for me, just came home last night from SF, Clare had her end of school recital, we got home late and unpacked and pack at the same time as we will be leaving for SG early tomorrow morning, long trip this time, two long weeks!!!! Be back to visit your blog when I am home! : )
Once again you have created a beautiful and 'dreamy' card, it is gorgeous!! Beautiful garden pictures too, I can almost smell the lilacs!! MY lilacs have just started to bloom, but like yours are loaded with water! We have rain and rain and more rain the last 4 days and thunderstorms, too. It sure has made everything green though and also has made the weeds take over! Have a fabulous day my friend!
Simple but beautiful and the vellum looks really elegant.
I love this classy card Ros - so elegant with the vellum strip!
Hugs

There may have been a lot of rain, but your garden looks like it's bursting with life! And the card is another beauty, too. I really wish I could join on one of your Thursday events - there must be so much excitement when you come with your wonderful ideas and everybody realizes they will be treated to yet another fantastic creative night.
