New Home(s)

Hello... How was your weekend?
We picked up hubby's new car on Friday and so far so good... We both love it and more importantly... No more trips to car dealerships!

I had to make 3 New Home cards last week... I usually only have to make maybe 1 a year of these type cards so I decided to keep them more or less pretty similar

Here's the first one... For a friend of my husband

The letters were cut on my Cameo and it was just easier to cut 3 lots and do some ink blending

This is the second one

Where the first card has a raised front, this one is flat as it's going across the pond to a blog friend

And the third card

For my friend who lost her husband earlier this year and is making a new start with her two sons

I've started to crochet again and made a few pairs of slippers. Funny, but after I lost my Aunt I just couldn't get into crocheting... It's something we started together and I had no mind for it but I'm settling into it now. I'll never be that great at it but it's just something to do in the evenings.

Ok... That's it for now - Enjoy your day

Till soon

Three wonderful 'new home' cards Ros, and a great idea to use different colour inks behind the large letters, and with the different configurations of trees, houses and the cute truck/car, they all look fantastic. I'm curious as to what stamps and building dies you have used as they go perfectly for this sort of card, but perhaps you have cut these on your Cameo too. x

Happy to hear you and hubby are enjoying your new car! We love ours and still learning due to the technology. Your cards are so lovely! Wonderful bright colors showing through with the cut out sentiment! I'm sure the recipients will love receiving these beauties! Happy to hear you are getting back to crocheting. I always enjoyed seeing your crochet creations. I'm still working on a baby blanket started quite awhile ago. It's so relaxing and fun to do in the evenings at times. Take care, hugs!

So glad that you are managing to get back into the crocheting x. Love all three of your wonderful cards. The houses look great keeping them white and then the vibrancy of the blended colours behind the letters look fabulous. The recipients are going to love them x.

Oh Ros I love your cards! The way you cut Happy out and did the background behind is very cool idea! Each card has it's own uniqueness. I'm sure the recipients will love them.

You came up with 3 creative designs, Ros! I love all of them. They look fantastic with the colorful ink blending peeking through the sentiment aperture. The heat-embossing and white-on-white die-cuts add so much interest. Hideko xx

Love the focus on HAPPY on these cards - the size and the bright colors. It really gets the message across.

I saw this post the other day, Ros, when I wasn't up to commenting and I kept it in my inbox to come back and tell you that I think these are absolutely stunning new home cards! I don't make many of these either and if I'm honest, I just put minimal effort into them, but you have inspired me to put the WOWZA into them in the future!! Hugs, Darnell

Wow! These absolutely knock my socks off! Most people our age don't change homes very often so there's not much opportunity. You made these very special!

So SMART to make three when you have such a Beautiful and Happy design!

Wow, I think they are the best 'new home' cards I have ever scene!! I think I might have made one new home card ever!! I also think I am the worse card sender ever, I make all these cards and they just sit here...I need to rethink that!

Aren't these the cutest with their individual little houses. I like the big splash of color with the "happy" too.
