Spare Leaves

Yep... there are plenty of spare leaves around right now, the garden is covered in them. No sooner do we clear them when another flurry comes raining down.

But the title of my post refers to the two cards I am sharing today using the spare leaves cut from the background of the card in my previous post

This is a one layered card painted loosely with distress inks and stamped.. It's good quality card and the secret is not to wet it too much... I dry it on both sides to stop any warping

I made it for my brother Rick who has a birthday tomorrow

This next one is very similar

I do like those leaves and just a little touch of sparkle can make a big difference

Hubby is still struggling with his back and I'm hoping he can see a chiropractor sometime today...It's no fun for either of us him being like this poor guy

I'll catch up with you soon... enjoy your day

Both of these cards are SO pretty Ros! I love the colors you water colored with and those extra leaves really take your one layer cards up a notch! I wish the ones that were laying in our yard looked like your beautiful ones in shades of blue...ours are all brown and covered with snow right now! Hope you have a great week my friend and that hubby is feeling better soon!! :0)

Your cards are both gorgeous, Ros! I am so impressed by the colors blended to look just like a beautiful frosty sky! Those leaves, with the bits of glitter are just breathtaking!

Great use of those spare leaves Ros. Your brothers card is fabulous and love the movement on your second card. Both unique and wonderful. I know exactly what you mean about the falling leaves.
Hope DH gets an appointment and they can do something for him. You sure do know a thing or two about bad backs and yes it's no fun for either of you X

You're right about that little touch of sparkle making a big difference. Those bare trees are beautiful and very effective with the fallen leaf. The watercolor background on your second card gives the impression of wind. They're both just gorgeous! I'm really sorry about your hubby's back. One minute he was having a good time, the next minute he was miserable. Sending healing wishes!

Two breathtaking cards, Ros! I love the blues and the softness! You have such a magic touch with design!! I hope hubby's back goes back in soon, so you can get some rest, lol! Bless him, I don't mean to make fun as I know it's dreadful when your back goes out. ❤Hugs to you both, Darnell

Another gorgeous pair of cards Ros and I love the washy backgrounds with the winter trees/bush and another couple of beautiful bright and glittery leaves. I hope you don't mind me asking what card you use for the card bases and toppers as it always looks so bright and crisp and you can see what good quality it is. I am always on the lookout for good all round card. x

Both cards are gorgeous Ros! Your backgrounds are amazing, love the colours, and the second one reminds me of a winter wind storm, with blowing snow - brrrrrr! The glitter on the leaves adds just that bit of interest, very tastefully done.

I love both watercolored backgrounds, Ros! How can you paint so beautifully and loosely without wetting the paper so much? The leaves with a little touch of glitter are amazing in terms of both texture and colors!
