Project One

Good morning and Happy New Year to you!!
I have something a little different to share with you today...
I got to thinking about what I would do now I don't have my group anymore and though I miss them, a lot, I also miss making the projects. Yes, it was hard work and coming up with ideas taxed my brain but I enjoyed making things other than cards.
For a long while making Christmas cards kept me busy, then I had a clear out of a lot of craft stuff and household items that were never used or were just collecting dust, but some things I couldn't part with, one of which was a candle lantern that I bought when I was going through my 'all things French' phase Lol!

Then I saw something on Pinterest that peeked my interest and I grabbed that old lantern and here's the something different

My lantern is now a room with a chandelier (fairy lights)

I made all the furniture from card and bits and pieces I had

The Eiffel tower for example is from a pack of brads sent to me by my blog friend Barbara, the draw handles are beads and the tiny clock was a little imitation stop watch that I trimmed the bits off.

The Piano legs are cut from chopsticks!
Everything is tiny so it was quite fiddly to do but I'm really please with it now it's done
So that's my first project of the year if you don't count the pom pom animals I've also made - I may share them sometime too.

I'm wishing you all a lovely day and a wonderful 2019

STUNNING! Ros, this is way beyond my imagination - you are so very creative in every sense of the word! Goodness sake, this is phenomenal, every piece created by you is so thought out ie:the lace for the curtains, the die cut borders for the window frames, the beads for the drawer handles, the tiny clock, the way you created the dresser and covered the stool, and the piano legs made of chopsticks who would of thought of that, I could go on and on but won't! A wonderful first of the year project, looking forward to seeing more of these types of projects (outside the box of a normal card - but love your cards too!). Wishing you a lovely day and a fabulous 2019! Hugs,

How wonderful! How clever! This is such a perfect project- I love it. I actually have a doll's house in the garage that needs some attention but I feel overwhelmed by it. I'm not very good with small, fiddly things but I do find your project very inspiring.

How absolutely delightful to start the new year seeing a whole new side of you, Ros! What you've done with the lantern is just exquisite! Did you have a doll house when you were young? There is something so satisfying about doing a major fiddly project like this and completing it perfectly! I can't wait to see what you do next!! Happy New Year Hugs, Darnell

What???? No way! The patience this must have required! Look at that little ottoman, and that's just a tiny part of it! The baseboards, the wood floor, the piano keys and sheet music! The dresser is interesting because I have an old dresser I've been wanting to paint white and do the drawer fronts like that. Wow! On and on with the detail... the curtains and rug and dresser scarf and doily. All of it, amazing, and lit up overhead with the fairy lights. I'm in AWE!

Oh, my goodness!!! I love anything french related since I took four years of it in high school. We made a trip to Paris even though it was one day when we went on a cruise to the British Isles in 2004 for our 25th anniversary. Anyways, your project is so amazing, Ros! I love all the tiny details!! Such a fabulous project! You are so talented! Thanks so much for sharing!
