Sympathy Cards

Good morning....
The time is whizzing by again, we actually had a flurry of snow last week, nothing much really, unlike when I was a kid and we always had lots of snow.

I have a couple of sympathy cards to share today,
Last week my friend from high school lost her beautiful Mum... A lady dear to my heart, who always treated me as one of her own... The first card is for my friend

I have so many wonderful memories of the times I spent over at my friends' house... It was a home always filled with love and laughter

One of the things I remember is how much her Dad teased us when we were going through our teenage years... Our fad diets, dance crazes and the pop groups we adored, not to mention our mini skirts Lol!
So this card is for him... I know he will be lost losing his partner of over 60 years
But he has a loving family to help him through ...
Enjoy your day and be safe

Two great designs for sympathy cards Ros. The prettily coloured poppies and foliage work beautifully with the ornate frame, and the tree and flying birds with that soft blue and golden light is so effective and elegant with the stitched frame and the extra dry embossed square makes an interesting outer frame. Absolutely gorgeous! x

I can see you put your heart into these cards, Ros. The love shows in them. It's a sad day when you lose someone you care for so deeply. Your poppies are incredibly gorgeous in the deep red with contrasting green and white and the beautiful lattice. The way the birds are lifting from the trees on your second card really tugs at my heart strings. Beautiful with the sentiment in gold on vellum. You, your friend, and her father have my most sincere sympathy.

Beautiful cards for the sad occasion. I love how the poppies peep through the trellis. And the effect of ligt through the branches is quite magical.

Sympathy cards are always the hardest to make. These are perfect. The red flower pops against all the white. I love how you put the lattice in the foreground. The second card is beautiful and serene... just what is needed at this time.
