Black Cat

Hello and welcome to my blog

Thank you for all your lovely comments, my previous post was scheduled and just as well as I have not been too well too. Lunch date with my GF's had to be cancelled as two of us were ill. There are a lot of coughs and colds going around and my brother and SIL are both sick.
But... I'm feeling a whole lot better and looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what I've missed.

I haven't made any cards for awhile... I've actually been doing some sewing, but I do have one to share that is made from more scraps

Believe it or not, those embossed and painted leaves are actually green... For some reason they photograph yellow... I painted them with Zigs some time ago and used it as a background for this card

The rather large black cat was a Cameo cut out, left over from one of the Thursday Club projects.

I didn't create it for anything special, but my dear friend is having to say goodbye to her beloved cat this week... Poor baby has been sick for some time and it will be a devastating blow to my friend... Maybe this card was meant especially for her...

Well I'm anxious to visit your blogs, plus I have to go get a new printer... Mine suddenly packed in... Funny how they work one day then you switch on the following day and poof! Nothing!

Have yourselves a wonderful day ... Spring is close by

Till soon

Lovely spur of the moment card Ros...nice to do one without a definite purpose and then find the purpose (as opposed to the other way round). As for the printer...bit like us I guess...we function one day and then the next we don't! Glad you are feeling better. xx

Glad that you're feeling a lot better, hopefully Spring will clear the air and sunshine and flowers will brighten the days. Sweetest card Ros - cool when leftovers come together - I love your leafy background - looks great 'goldish' in the photo hugs Robyn

Glad you are on the mend Ros x. What a striking and unique card and all from scraps....amazing x. Sorry about the loss of your friends beloved cat x
I am convinced that technology has a sell by date (built in) and then you 'have' to go and buy another one x

This is stunning! That black cat against the background is beautiful. It's funny how when you photograph sometimes the colours change, I've had that happen as well. None the less, it's a very pretty background.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Ros, and so happy to see your post today. Take care, hugs,

Glad to hear you're feeling better too...lots of colds and coughs going around here too! I think it's the crazy weather that can't make up it's mind whether it wants to be Winter or Spring...I'm voting for Spring!! Hugs. :0)

The black, gold and white is a very elegant combination of colours Ros, and I love the flowing leaves with the black silhouette cat and the two sets of leaves also in black, and leaving the die cut sentiment WOW works perfectly. I'm sorry you have been a bit under the weather, but glad you are picking up now. x

funny how the camera picks up different colours, your cat is super sweet front and centre of the card. I'm so glad you are feeling better :)

I'm so sorry to hear you've been sick, Ros, and I'm really sorry about your friend's cat, too. This is one of the most beautiful cards I've ever seen. No kidding. The leaves are gorgeous and, actually, they look gold on my screen. The cat is graceful and beautiful and it's all so lovely on the white. By the way, I tried Pauline's suggestion about the trace minerals for restless legs. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I haven't had restless legs during the night since I started taking it over a week ago. Sleep right through. Maybe it's the fix I've been looking for!

Well you know this card is right up my ally so to speak...black cats, we had a bunch we just gave up, I have more to find homes for....so tired of people dropping off cats here...anyhow sorry about the ramble, but I do LOVE this card!! Hope you are feeling better soon, I have had the same cough for a few months, if it ever gets warm here maybe it will go away!! Take care my friend!!

How great that you had that cat ready for a time that you could use it for a special purpose. I love the background leaves and the pretty black die cuts. Striking card.

Happy to hear that you are feeling better, Ros! The flu is still going around here with schools being closed a few days. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend's cat. It's difficult to lose a precious fur baby. How thoughtful of you to make the lovely card for her. It is so pretty with the gold embossed leaves and the wonderful sweet black cat. Take care and have a wonderful weekend, hugs!!

So glad you're feeling better, Ros. This sweet cat will certainly bring comfort to your friend. The leaves and sprigs are beautiful and I love the little gold heart on the cat. Green looking yellow is one of my biggest photo frustrations!

I'm reading backwards so I hope you feel better by now. I LOVE this card and YES it is meant for your friend. I feel her pain since I had to but my black kitty to sleep a couple of months ago. It is so hard.

So pretty - I love the subtle diecut sentiment and the heart of the cat's neck. Get well soon.

Cute cat! I know how colors of cards on photogaphs can be nowhere near reality but this is so extreme... Beuatiful card nevertheless. I hope the coughs and colds are far behind you now.

The black cat silhouette is so sweet, Ros! The "green" leaves and black die-cut leaves look fabulous against the white. Love that you added a little heart to the neck of the cat and the white die-cut sentiment to the white card base. Your friend will really appreciate this card.
