CAS Mix Up

Hello and welcome...

I'm waiting for my brother to come over so I have a little time to post my card for this month's challenge at CAS Mix Up

I have never ever used baby wipes in crafting other than to clean up - I was familiar with baby wipes and re-inkers but not the technique using gloss photo paper

What? Come on!!
Why didn't I know about this before?? Heck I wouldn't have bought those alcohol inks and Yupo... I mean the results are amazing and it's so simple!

I used 3 distress inks... Blueprint, Citron and Squeezed Lemonade and I love the shine!
I didn't stamp over it but I did add a few white dots and an impression die to give the appearance of those leaves being blown

I stamped my sentiment onto Vellum using archival ink and clear embossed it - I couldn't bear to cover up those colours. I also dry embossed a frame just for a little more impact.
I will definitely be doing this again ... Thank you to the team for sharing this technique.

As always I wish you all a lovely day... It's still pretty cool here and we've had lots of rain but I'm staying positive Haha!

 Till soon

~ Ros ~

Your colorful background really pops, Ros. I love how you added the white dots and impression die for a bit of interest and only the couple of floating leaves and vellum sentiment so not too much of your gorgeous background did not get covered up. Wonderful die impressed framing too. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy

What a pretty card and the three colours look fabulous Ros, also the added die cut leaves and little dotted lines add great interest to the piece, and love your arrangement of the vellum sentiment. You always come up with something innovative. I haven't bought any new wet wipes since I found out they don't easily break down, and the ones I have already have dried out so not sure if I could just use a bit of alcohol on a kitchen towel to wipe over and get the same result...will have to give it a try. x

Oh, wow, look at your background! Ethereally amazing! Love the colors you chose. I sure wouldn't want to cover it up. Your background, the leaves blowing in the breeze, the bow in your sentiment piece all give such movement. If I had some baby wipes I'd try this. Wonder if Clorox wipes would work? Ha! Probably not, but may come up with another new technique. Gorgeous, Ros!

Amazing card Ros! Love the gorgeous and bright colours for your beautiful background. Your delicate, small white leaf die-cuts are the perfect size to allow the gorgeous background to be the star. Beautiful detail with your framing and love your vellum banner with dimension. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

What vibrant and wonderful colours and such a great combination x Striking card and loving the movement of the die cut leaves and the way you did the vellum sentiment strip without hiding the glorious colours. I never realised the similarity of the alcohol inks and yuppo and this fun technique Ros....Thanks for pointing that out x Thank you too for joining in The CAS Mix Up Challenge with this beautiful card x.

Stunning Ros! I've never heard of this technique either, but love the results. Gorgeous colours. Love the dry embossed frame, the floating leaves and the sentiment on vellum. I love vellum, but don't use it as much as I probably should as I have lots of it. It's been cool here as well, and lots of rain. Enjoy your day!

Okay, another technique that you have mastered to perfection! Fantastic card and yes: I would also have had a hard time covering those colors! One day soon (I hope) I will have time to get crafty again (and have persuaded the cat she doesn't need to sit smack in the center of my desk when I try to do whatever) and that technique is on my "to try" list.
