Thinking of you....

 Hello...

I've tried to write this post several times and then abandoned it.
Over the years my blog has been my diary of sorts... I've shared cards and handmade items, holidays and photos. Many fun times and some not so fun...

Today I have a card to share that was probably the hardest one I've had to make yet... Not because it was a difficult technique or anything like that, but simply because it is one I never envisaged having to make...

You see last week I got a call to say my friend Jeanie had passed away suddenly... Only a few weeks before I posted a photo of us together having met up by chance in Spain... I said it was one of the best things that happened and it was. I couldn't have known it was going to be the last time we would be together and laugh like crazy school girls as we always did when we were together...

My heart is broken, the loss is overwhelming but I do know that somewhere in heaven there's a party going on...

Ros, sorry to her about your friend :(
the card is so beautiful, I love the rose and the little clear embellishment it's like a tear.

Oh Ros, how sad for you to lose a dear friend so suddenly and this card says it all and really beautifully too. The deep red of the rose gives great contrast with the bright WOW background, and the little gold embossed heart together with the sentiment on the vellum are perfect to finish it, and love the clear gems like sweet little dew drops. Stunning design too. x

To lose any of my dearest friends would be like losing a close family member. You made a truly beautiful card, just as she deserves. I can see the love in it. Take care.

Oh Ros, what saddening news, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a surreal feeling that must be after that chance meeting in Spain. They say everything happens for a reason; this seems to have been one of those incidences that proves the point. Your card is truly beautiful, the feelings show. Big hug!
