Painted Cards

Hello there...
Welcome to December, it's really making itself known here, still, it maybe freezing but it's bright.

I'm giving you a break from my AI cards and instead I'm sharing some painted cards. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas unless I painted some wintery scenes and these are a mix of watercolour, acrylics, distress inks and some ink blending.

The trees are old stamps but it's the first time I've used the steps and stones stamp by Lavinia. The background was ink blended, trees stamped in Versafine and the steps and stones have been painted

Using the same stamp I also did this one

Everything has been painted and splattered with white acrylic paint

And my final one is just a wintery scene with some old tree stamps...

...Again all painted and there are also some gold splatters but it's hard to photograph

That's it for now

Have a lovely day

~ Ros ~

Three gorgeous wintry scenes Ros and love the different pretty trees together with the steps and stones and then just the pine trees which all look equally beautiful and very atmospheric with the falling snow. x

Love your trio of lovely snowy scenes Ros, wonderful combination of medium and stamps.. this a fav technique of mine too - and must say how weird it is to be an Aussie creating snowy Christmas cards when it's soo hot here, it's ramping up here in Queensland these last two weeks - heat and humidity so the air con is getting a work out... as an aside though, last weekend they had snow down south - unbelievable, right when half the country is struggling with fires - we just need rain everywhere. Your cards are gorgeous, have a fabulous week hugs Robyn

Beautiful wintery cards Ros. I love all 3, and they are painted beautifully. I agree with the above these should be framed! I really like the splatter of gold and white paints, really gives it that blizzard feeling. Awesome cards! So glad you posted these. Hugs,

Your watercolors always blow me away. Oh, my gosh, the shadows on the snow! Wonderful Lavinia stamp for scene building, and you did a beautiful job of that. I'm in awe!

Honestly, Ros, you could sell these in a gallery! Each one should be framed! I couldn't part with them, but if you do, you are really gifting the recipients works of art!! Happy Holidays! Hugs, Darnell

Sorry it took me so long to get here but I have not had a free minute since last month...hopefully after today things will slow down for me a bit..doing a craft show today with my cards!
