CAS Stencil Challenge

Hello there...

The sun is shining here right now and it's lovely, even though the March winds make it quite cool. Ginger cat is taking a chance and sitting in a sun spot Lol!

Today's card is for the CAS Stencil  Challenge

It's a little nod to the crazy people out there who are panic buying, clearing supermarket shelves and even stealing from the hospitals following this pandemic. God bless the frontline medical personnel.

I pounced Versamark through a TH wavy stencil and embossed with black powder
It's not as crisp as ordinary embossing  but still a fun technique to get more out of your stencils

The colored leaves are from an old MFT (Build a Bouquet) stamp set, still one of my favourites and the sentiment is from a really old PTI set.

I hope you are having a good day... Thanks so much for popping in

Stay safe

Very cool technique and most perfectly stated sentiment for our crazy world!! I went shopping yesterday and needed soap for the kitchen and there wasn't a bottle to be found...so yes it is crazy for sure!!

Your card is so creative and fun, Ros! Love the wavy black embossing. The sentiment ties everything together. It really does look like an artsy jungle.
Awesome! xx

What a great design Ros and the background heat embossed stencilled strip works beautifully with the leaves and dragonfly over the top and love that sentiment, and so true with the present difficulties. There is absolutely no hand gel to be had round here at the moment, as soon as it hits the shelves it's gone! x

This is a great card Ros - the wavy black embossing is brilliant! And the sentiment fits perfectly for all the daft folk who think the zombie apocalypse is on it's way - and as for stealing from hospitals......words fail me.
Thanks for adding this to the gallery for my Heat Embossing challenge at CAS Stencil!

What a cool stencil and I love how you used it to go with a jungle theme! So true about it being a jungle out there right now. Went grocery shopping this week and was shocked at the price of toilet paper. $23 for 24 rolls! What??? On eBay it was selling for $55 and sold out! The virus is a genuine threat for people in our age group, though. I'm going to pick up a few things tomorrow and then try to stay out of the stores for a while. Take care, Ros!

As always Ros, I love your technique and style in your card making. Your card todays is unique and classy! Love it. I never thought of embossing using a stencil, great idea. Your sentiment is very fitting for what is going on in the world today. Have a good weekend Ros, and stay safe! Hugs,

You made me laugh & you're right--it's a jungle! We're trying to be smart & calm--not so easy! Hubby says it's like being in a sci fi movie. Love your beautiful card, Ros & the embossed stenciling is a neat element! Fritz is like Ginger Cat--if there's sun on the deck he thinks it must be sunbath weather--haha!

Yes, a card for the times - so sad the way some people are and totally unnecessary - there's enough for everyone right?! What a great stencil you used to emboss - the black and green go together wonderfully! xx

It really is a jungle... I had to leave the supermarket today as I started laughing hysterically when I saw that they are now selling flour in 25 kg bags (and only those)! I thought it was meant as a statement but apparently people actually buy these. So good to have crafty blogs to come to for some sanity. I would dub thhis an unusual Ros card but it's a lot of fun!
