Painted Bouquet

Hello there...

How's your week been so far? It's been manic here...The past 2 days have been spent on hospital appointments for my husband, a total of 7 hours in 2 different hospitals is very exhausting. We also got the sad news that his SIL has passed away.

I tell 'ya, I was happy to just sit and make a card today

I pulled out my distress oxides to paint this one

... and it relaxed me for awhile.

With so much going on right now I don't have much inspiration - I'm longing for Spring to arrive and warm days when I can sit outside with a cup of tea.... Bliss!  It's seems like winter has been going on forever...

Take care and thanks so much for your lovely comments... I really do appreciate your friendship

Sorry times are tough for you at the moment Ros and some colouring is a good way to relax for a little while, and your flowers are really beautiful, and great to colour with the Oxides which do give a different look and such a pretty one too. I think we are all longing for Spring to arrive! x

Oh so very pretty, loving the softness of it. I understand how exhausting everything can be, we have had a hard week here, too. Sorry to hear your hubby's SIL passing too!I agree with you, waiting for Spring, can you believe we had an inch of snow this morning, but it has already melted away. It has been a relatively easy winter, but a long one it seems....take care my friend!!

Take care, sweet friend... xx

What a beautiful stamp and lovely coloring. I'm glad you were able to take the time to relax with it for a bit. Sometimes you just have to bide your time and wait for the opportunity. Neither the time nor the inclination is coming along very often at my house lately. I'm sorry about your SIL.

Winter has been going on for what seems like forever here too Ros, and unfortunately where I live Spring doesn't really show up until May, so I've got a bit of time to get through yet! It does make for nice and cozy stamping days though and your card today is absolutely lovely!! I love the silver embossing with the painting using the DOX inks...sooo pretty!! Hope all the time you spent at the doctors appointments brings good results and that the weather warms up for both of us soon. Take care!! :0)

That does sound like a rough day - I hope things turn out to be well soon! So glad, though, that you found time to make a card (and a beautiful one at that) as that does help one to chill and get distracted.

Hope your hubby is OK--not a fun 7 hrs, for sure! Sorry you've lost a family member. You've sure had a lot of losses. On a happy note--your card is just gorgeous, Ros! I've never painted with DO & you make me want to give it a try!
