More Christmas Cards

 Good morning...

I'm a little fed up this morning, my city is in another lockdown as Covid rates are soaring... Not surprising really when you see how many people have a blatant disregard for others, no masks and no distancing. The supermarket staff here are not allowed to challenge shoppers who don't wear masks for fear of abuse. Heck the money these organizations are making they could employ proper door staff. My husband's daughter and her family have all caught the virus but they are doing okay. Anyway...

I have another Christmas card to share... I actually made a bunch of these. When I made the 'tone on tone' card I posted at CAS Mix Up here

I wondered if using the same technique and colour (Iced Spruce) would work for a Christmas card.

I used a different stencil and of course Christmas stamps and sentiment this time, and drew around the triangle

The stamp uncoloured really didn't look right so I painted it, using the same distress ink, and added red liquid pearls for the berries
I think it works... What do you think?
Quick and easy to do and my desk isn't cluttered with a million things which is always a bonus.

Have yourselves a wonderful day... Thanks for your visit

Yes, this works Ros! Another beautiful CAS design. Love those red berries, just makes your card pop! I'm sorry to hear you on are another lockdown, they just don't get it do they. We are good so far over here in my town, we only have 2 active cases, but that is within the whole county. Sorry to hear about your husband's daughter and family, but glad they are doing okay. Have a wonderful day!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Ros! I love the Iced Spruce so much that I just used it on my tone on tone card too (still have to post it). I love the stenciled triangle and the painted holly together...it totally works together my friend! Lovely, lovely card!! Hugs. :0)

Wishing your family members a speedy recovery Ros - our neighbours are both back on their feet and have returned to work after a torrid week with it. (They are both NHS staff. Party Marquees in gardens, mass funeral attendances and wedding parties at Buffet restaurants - it is no wonder we are in the mess that we are in.
You know I love this card. Outlining the stencil really draws your attention to it and your holly sprig and berries look beautiful coloured in Iced Spruce. There is no more for me to say except I love everything about it.
Am happy to see you in the CAS Mix UP gallery.
Stay safe. x

This is such a beautiful card, Ros! I love that triangular feature, and the images are so good. (I am sorry about the lockdown. Our little town in rural Oregon is relatively unscathed, but not without risk. Some people are so good about masks; others, not so much. I just can't imagine going months more like this.)

Beautiful and so elegant Ros and love the holly coloured using the same ink as the background triangle with the pretty stencilling, also the red liquid pearls on the berries. x

I love how you used Iced Spruce..it is one of my favorite colors and I do not use it enough. I love how it looks with the bright red berries, Ros. Wonderful geometric triangle that you stenciled with the stamped holly and perfect sentiment. Definitely works as a Christmas card, my friend. So glad to hear your family is doing ok recovering from the C-Virus. Stay safe and creative. Love and Hugs..Nancy

That Spruce color is perfect for Christmas - and even this lovely holly, Ros! Love the line drawn around your triangle, and those beautiful shiny red berries!

It's beautiful! I love the muted colors and the balance is perfect. I have that stencil and used it on a Christmas card last year. The berries are so pretty with the Liquid Pearls for dimension. I like the idea of a desk not cluttered with a million things. Our leader and his minions in the white house have decided that herd immunity is the way to go, not that it's been indisputably determined that antibodies are a sure thing. It sounds more to me like culling the herd. I feel your frustration over people who just don't care about anyone but themselves.

A very pretty card, Ros!! Love the holly and stencil in muted colors! The pop of red is perfect! Sorry to hear about the rise in cases and that your husband's daughter and family have the virus. I certainly hope they get better very soon!

It definitely works! Love the holly with just the red berries--beautiful! So many people have bought in to thinking it's just the flu & if I get it I'll be fine. It's pretty disgusting & so stupid! Our cases are going up here, but still fairly small numbers. All the same, we've cancelled some appts we don't consider urgent, to be safe. Over 200,000 people dead in the US, but I guess people ignore it unless someone they love died. You guys stay safe, my friend.

I think these are beautiful! Love the dimension of the red berries and I have the iced spruce ink but never used it, why I ask myself as it is so pretty! The mask thig here is Michigan is a bit crazy. I wear mine every place I go in, which is mostly the grocery or to get pet food at our farm store, but I know LOTS that refuse to wear, if they just would maybe we could kick this thing!

Beautiful! The berries really star with that colour scheme. Sorry about the terrible time you're having in Liverpool - just read the Mayor's brother died of it. Hope your husband's family recover quickly. I just grumbled on my blog about London going to tier 2 and ruining my best friend's very small scale birthday plans but I know compared to many I'm lucky. We've re-planned and are going to meet up(just the two of us) in one of the big London parks and I think we should be grateful we can do that.

Beautiful Christmas card Ros. The colours are perfect. LOVE the hit of red with the berries. Sorry to hear that you are under more restrictions. I wish everyone would take this seriously and abide by the rules. It's frustrating. Hope your hubby's daughter and her family are doing well. And thanks for sharing this beautiful card with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

Oh yes, it does work! The 3D berries are the perfect touch. I had no idea Liverpool was in lockdown again... somehow we never hear about the UK but all sorts of other places... only realized this now. Stay safe!
