Christmas Candles

Hello there friends...I hope this finds you well...

I've not had much inclination craft wise lately but I forced myself to make some more Christmas cards however, getting decent photos has been a nightmare... It's been wet and dull here for days

The candle/bauble stamp I've had for years but never used until now

I just wanted to paint something and this worked fine over the stencil so I did another

Just changed the sentiment

I don't know about you but I keep losing stamps... One minute they're there and then suddenly they are gone! I spend more time looking for things than creating. By time I've located something the idea has gone... That's not to say I do locate everything, sometimes it's just a mystery as to where things have disappeared to. I once read a book.. A Place called Here by Cecelia Ahearn... It takes you to somewhere where all those lost socks, keys, umbrellas even people end up... I always think of this when I lose something and see them sitting on a shelf in a place called Here, waiting to be returned Lol!

Have a terrific day my friends... We are back in Lockdown and apparently are going the first city to be mass tested for the virus.
I'll keep you posted

Till soon

Your cards are beautiful both ways with the sentiment placement and the stenciled background. Pretty stamp, beautifully colored. I always admire how you do the embossing with dies which gives you fewer layers yet dimension and texture. I read a blog post this morning that talked about a child's birthday party at which they bobbed for apples. Think about that as a virus spreader, sheesh. Sounds like a cute book! I temporarily lose things when I reorganize.

These are 2 lovely cards Ros, the stencilling makes the beautifully coloured image really stand out.
Nothing much to report from up the M6 - at least it's stopped raining! Lockdown better with blue sky to look at I think - let's hope it stays for a while. x

Such a pretty candle stamp and love both versions but with different sentiments and love the gold embossing and the embossed die frame around the cut out square over the top, looks really elegant and beautiful, and love the added sequins too. x

Beautiful cards Ros, love the layout using the square on a rectangle and the watercolouring is wonderful. I loose thinks on my desk/floor/cupboards all the time :)

The test is no fun but a necessary evil :( good luck.

So glad you felt like painting something Ros... and found this wonderful stamp... two fabulous cards now. Do have the same problem misplacing things... I blame the fairies. Sad to hear you're in lockdown again over there - it's been one awful year hasn't it. Planning to write up my Christmas cards next week and get the overseas ones in the mail - at least we can spread our love and best wishes for Christmas... hugs Robyn, stay safe

Your cards are just beautiful! Love your design with this NBUS stamp and of course your painting is perfect! So sorry you are in lock down again and anxious to hear how hos mass testing goes. We here in the USA of course are in the midst of a presidential election (what a nightmare) and our Covid numbers are also going higher & higher! Where does it all end? Ugh! Praying you find a ray of sunshine in your day ... hugs!

Oooh, I love this, Ros! The colors are so festive and fabulous! That's a wonderful little stamp. I'd love you to share at the NBUS challenge! I had a chuckle about you losing things ... oh, yes, it started happening to me a coupla years ago. Nine times out of ten it was right smack in front of me. I don't know why, but I always look everywhere to each side, and way beyond where I've even been, give up, turn back and there it is! I used to think it was Hammy playing tricks on me, but now I know it happens to others, too. The aging process flummoxes me on a regular basis! I hope your artistic Muse moves in while you are in this latest lockdown. xxoo Hugs, Darnell

I'm sure lockdown is not fun! We may be headed for it here, also. Your card is so lovely with the candle! Beautiful stencil background, too! It makes for a beautiful Christmas card, so pretty! I always misplace things around here in the craft room. Once I lost a small stamp and I thought for sure that it fell into my trash basket. It took me two or three times to pull all the trash out before I finally found it. I nearly lost my mind on that day, lol! Take care, stay safe, hugs!!

Two beautifully watercolored candle images for your new Christmas cards, Ros. Hee, hee...I found a lost stamp and looked and looked for its proper home...of course, when not looking and giving up...the stamp set I was using had a missing stamp...yep, I found the lonely stamps home...or actually the home found me. It seems that clear stamps are extra sticky now and so can easily get stuck to strange places...lol!

I am loving all your new Christmas cards, my friend. Stay safe and busy creating Christmas cards during your lockdown. Love and Hugs..Nancy

What a sweet candle image and so beautifully colored! The stenciled background works wonderfully! I lose things all the time, especially the clear stamps that stick in all sorts of odd places!

I know lockdown is hard & much stricter than what is done here. Actually wish they would do it here as our cases are the worst since the beginning of the pandemic! They say in our state it's mostly due to small, indoor social gatherings. People don't wear masks & stay apart from people they know--as if only strangers can give you the virus! I get so frustrated I have to just not think about it. Luckily, I'm happy at home & we can get what we need doing outside pick ups. Enough of that--just love that image! Good thing you finally used it as these cards are beautiful, Ros! I'm so glad someone else looses things. I have it one minute, turn around & it's gone! Right now I've lost a card, of all things. Not like it's small--how can that happen?! Just gotta laugh! Thinking of you, my dear friend. Hugs, Greta

Lovely set of cards - you do get going on your Christmas cards.
Mmmhhh... mass testing... I don't really get what the advantage would that be as that is only a result valid for a moment in time, of sorts? But anyway...
